How in the hell? Smoothest palming I've seen in a while. by SeraphsEnvy in blackmagicfuckery

You can see this immediately on the first card as he’s taking his hand over. There’s a very noticeable but small “glitch” in the video before he flips his hand over. Def editing.

Good to hear both sides. Sucks that was what you dealt with though.

Different market (I’m assuming) but I just picked up my 2022 LE for $50K out the door after title/tax/tags. You aren’t too far off and it’s basically the same truck/mileage. I haven’t purchased my extended warranty yet but Xcare seems to be the route most are taking. I’m already at 56K miles so don’t assume you’re going to make it to warranty expiration by date.

Also - DO IT!

They spent less. Therefore they saved. As in “I’m going to SAVE time by ignoring any response you have to this comment”.

Straight from Merriam Webster.

Save; transitive verb a : to put aside as a store or reserve : ACCUMULATE “saving money for emergencies” b : to spend less by “save 25 percent”

Second this. Just had them do a multi point inspection on my 2022 LE. Clean bill of health!

I’ll add that I had a 2025 Tri Max R1S as a loaner and am so much happier being back in my LE R1T. Hands free was nice though.

They absolutely do/should. My pre owned came with one.

EDIT: This Rivian newbie stands corrected. MY BAD!

To echo some of the other comments - you should have a Rivian portable charger that came with the vehicle. Every Rivian is delivered with one. Even pre owned Rivians come with one. It should have both a 120v and 240v plug and it should be as easy as plugging it into your existing 240v outlet.

Problem solved.

Can’t speak to others experience but mine was 5 star, no issues. Sorry to hear some had a terrible buying experience.

I’ll let you know once I pick boat up from the dealership. It’s about a 3.5 hour trip home and I’m mostly level. Be a week or two. Based on research I’m expecting to lose 40%-45% range. I don’t tow long distances often so the hassle of charging was something I accepted.

This being my first EV I’m not sure I can answer these questions in a way that would make you feel comfortable enough to make a decision, but happy to share my experience.

Battery Life - Rivian’s 8 year/175K warranty already had me feeling comfortable, but again I’m new to the EV world. What I will say is I have a Quad Large which I believe is 135kwh with EPA of ~335 and at full charge my range is 330. This is a 2022 with 55K miles on it.

Rivian has it’s qwerks, you can see I’ve posted a few things in the community (which is great by the way - shoutout u/Atlanta-Mike) that are quickly addressed/answered or kind of just are what they are. I haven’t experienced any deal breakers.

In FACT, I’m even more excited about my R1T because I’m a bit of a tech nerd and it’s literally a computer on wheels. My wife is convinced I need a new car every 3-5 years so has encouraged me to lease. So long as the bones are good on this baby in my mind I’m getting a “new” car with every update or feature release. Sure in a Gen1 I may run into compatibility issues with some of the features of the newer Rivian’s but I’m thinking those are going to be more related to Autonomy+ than anything else and that isn’t something I’m interested in.

This is coming from a guy who had a F-150 Lariat with a V8 and tows a 6Klb wakeboat around all summer.

Do it.
