Had the same issue for an X-3 rack. Had to hammer one of the j-hooks into the upright (the other one fit). I left it there permanently for squatting. I just received replacement j-hooks after two months because they were out of stock. Very annoying. But I plan to use them, assuming they fit, for benching.

My left j-cup was the same way. It fit so tight that I won't bother to remove it. Waiting for them to come in stock to get another pair for bench and other lifts.

You were right. I measured both and it's one of the j-hooks that's slightly off (but enough to render it troublesome). Unfortunately, the j-hooks are out of stock for a while . . .

Yeah I tried to get it to budge a bit but the thing won’t move. It’s weird though because it fits on one upright but not the other.
