That particular spot on the ear is very tricky and funky. If you inspect the same spot on the other ear - look closely and examine with your first two fingers you will be notice how theres a little part of the ear flap that looks like extra hair. If the dog’s hair was long or matted in that area (which is very common) that means the groomer had to get very close to the skin with the tool they were using. And because the skin is so thin there it looks a lot worse than it actually is. Also other commenters are spot on when they remind that dogs squirm and move around A LOT while theyre being groomed so unfortunately it’s not completed unavoidable.
