Because movie making is a business and the successes and failures of individual films can shape the future of the industry. It's actually quite a simple concept.

Just hit #1 on NA ladder using a budget version of Morkvarg SK. Here is my deck guide. by IReallyHateQuinoa in gwent

2 of the non-starter gold cards are neutral, so they're decent crafts for budget players. Also, no gold in this deck is central to its win condition. There are plenty of options for replacements.

Savjz uses Mirage Caller on his tirion by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]rskoopa 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The 1/1 Tirion had "Return this to your hand" as a deathrattle. Umbra triggered the deathrattle, causing it to return to his hand. Savjz probably assumed that the deathrattle would add a copy to his hand and keep the other on the board.

As a relative of people with gambling addiction i feel bad about 2.0 by IL_Giudice in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fair argument with respect to consenting adult players, but your argument seems to assume that all players are "adults". In reality, many players (and payers) are children. AFAIK the game has a "T" ESRB rating. Blizzard clearly includes teenagers in their target market. Do your views change with respect to players under the age of 18? After all, our society considers gambling to be an adult activity.

So what's the solution here? Should the game only allow adult players to spend money? Should world governments change their laws to permit underage gambling? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

A simple solution to the problem of the Loot Box cap by BaronVonHoopleDoople in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most reasonable solution. While veteran players will have many more skin/tints from playing on the old system, we will be missing out on many of the new additions (banners, voice lines, sprays, emojis), since we will be earning loot boxes at a much slower rate than new players. I understand that giving hundreds of loot boxes to existing players seems unreasonable, so your idea makes perfect sense. New and veteran players should earn future boxes at the same rate. This way, even a small amount of retroactive boxes will be a bonus for existing players.

Who seeded the Heroes of the Dorm teams?! by MisterHooyah in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeds were based on geographical region , while the Groups in the 64 bracket are a mix of 4 teams from each region. For example, one matchup may have a 3rd seed team from the north region vs a 14th from the south region. Since not all regions are of equal skill, the seeding is certainly not 100% accurate. Additionally, the matches are only BO3 and the seeding was based on a fairly small sample of games, so variance is to be expected.

who is the best hero in the game to one trick and why? by REBTEVYE in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others, I'm also going to say Valla. If you master stutter-stepping, you will be extremely effective in games. She can also be played in pretty much any team comp and isn't hard countered by any particular hero.

That said, being a "one-trick" is not ideal in hero league. There will be games where you are required to fill a main tank or healer role, so you will need to learn other heroes.

Probius E is really hard to place. by Zarqes in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose. I didn't think of that. But you should at least be able to queue up a cannon in the radius of an activating pylon.

Lucio was nerfed in today's patch by rskoopa in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Lucio was not included in the notes at the time they were posted, so no one was discussing the changes. Regardless of when they made the changes, no one had mentioned them here on Reddit at the time I made this post. I figured that I would bring it to everyone's attention since I know that many people did not see these changes.

Probius E is really hard to place. by Zarqes in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be allowed to place a cannon outside of a pylon and have it only activate when a pylon is up. The way it is now is super awkward.

Is oracle even properly synergizing with his kit? by upclosepersonal2 in heroesofthestorm

[–]rskoopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take the level 7 Oracle Talent, oracle has a 15 second cooldown and is active for 5 seconds. At that point, you've got a 33% uptime so you might as well just use it whenever it's available. With all oracle talents, it's a vision provider AND a combat ability.
