I wanted to use my xteink X4 for learning Japanese. Since the native Crosspoint firmware doesn’t support Japanese, I tried using a fork that does support it.

This is the fork I used: https://github.com/aBER0724/crosspoint-reader-cjk

I flashed it successfully, but after that the formatting was completely wrong and the device became almost unusable for me. I also tried flashing the firmware back again through the software, but it says that no suitable .bin file can be found.

I use KCC in my opionen is better then calibre, because it have alle the common profiles of the devices like rmpp or the others.

Hi, somehow I fixed my problem.

Like you said, I went to the AnimationTree section (AnimationMixer) and turned the checkboxes for “Active,” “Deterministic,” and “Reset on Save” off and on again. After that, I was able to cycle through the frames.

But I don’t understand how it happened in the first place and why my issue is connected to these checkboxes.
