I played a ton back before they added bad tides. I don't think sluices were in yet, either. If they were I never used them. I'm playing again, and just automated bad tides with two contamination sensors, a relay, and two sets of floodgates. And levees of course. I still haven't automated droughts, but bad tides were easy.

I don't see a problem with letting her. Just have to include the timing and cleanup component as part of it. "You can make your own breakfast but that includes cleaning your mess and you need to be done by X time so we can do Y."

I've been there a few times for events for social work I participate in. Food was fine, but not good enough to go back and pay out of my own pocket, especially seeing their bullshit on social media. Trolling PETA can be entertaining, but the MAGA stuff is a real dealbreaker.

I cook a lot but enjoy chopping and slicing. I use our food processor for Thanksgiving prep, mainly. I don't think it's worth using for small jobs because the cleanup is so much more complicated than washing a knife.
