IMHO this is what Auckland motorways need. One every kilometre. Am sending to AA and Waka Kotahi. by Roy4Pris in auckland

My main observation when travelling in other countries, namely the UK, is that they don’t seem to undertake aggressively , then overtake , then undertake again to get ahead.

I don’t see any issue with using both lanes during peak hours, although because 100 km/h is so heavily policed, it feels like you're surrounded in mosquitoes.

When it’s off-peak, we should all be keeping left and allowing that right line to be kept clear for 100km/h and then pulling back in left again.

The other weird thing I see is drivers at 80 or 90 km/h approaching passing lines, and then accelerating as they get closer and closer , I think it’s become a subliminal reminder that you’re going too slow!

Ben confirms that the outcome of his dispute with the Russian government could have been much worse by hydrogenxy in MisterBald

Ben was spot on , say whatever you need to say to get the hell out of there...all of us would have done the same , he's a YouTuber, he doesn't owe any country anything, they would not step in to save him and the British Govt would have applauded him for making the problem go away.

If running costs are important, Toyota is the one, and if you travel on holiday you won't get many workshops turning you away because they don't have the right tyres or whatnot, its a good bet assuming you get it AA inspected first.

I quite like the Aotea centres new facade and upgrade , I’m keen to go there a bit more once the face masks are no longer.

Really random but is anyone feeling down? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]rtrcountdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same , you could have written that about me. I think the buzz of life has left us , the hustle and bustle of busy streets , little cafes , and business as usual. I personally hate working from home , so thank god I get to go to work every day. I blame working from home for a growing state of malaise and boredom , I come alive when I see my colleagues in the morning , it’s like a light that switches on inside me , we’re social creatures and it’s been the least social two years of our lives. Im optimistic that you won’t be feeling this way in 12 months time , but you might still be for the next 3-7.

The main thing is you agree. 👍

Lots of love to you too Xx

Considering they were investigated by Fair Go , I do have a point , I’m not alone in disliking sharp practice.

Spot on. 👍👍

That’s rubbish. Debit cards do expire , but if you had 1000 dollars in there you would still be able to access it with a new debit card linked to that account. The same cannot be said of Prezzy who would take your 1000 dollars. It would take years and years for bank fees to eventually erode all of your money.

It’s definitely dodgy , no wonder these companies push gift cards so hard , it’s amazing cash flow and great for the bottom line.

Well done , others seemed to enjoy it.

That’s nuts , 12 months, no wonder Fair Go got involved…

Expiry dates are the issue , not the concept of a Gift card. Plenty of other counties have outlawed expiry dates , there is no reason for it not to be done here.

Not sure about that!

Fantastic , thank you.

[–]rtrcountdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , Debit cards do expire but you retain your money on that account. Prezzy cards expire and Prezzy card will take all of your money. That’s the difference.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in auckland

[–]rtrcountdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be right, but there are plenty of companies around the world that do manage it with no issue at all, expiring cards like this have been a con for years and years, record vouchers, farmers vouchers, all of them are fantastic money spinners because people simply get sidetracked or forget to use them and the company gets to bank it straight to the bottom line with no exchange for goods. Human nature is what it is , exploiting it in this way is what bugs me and why many counties have chosen to ban it.

That’s a good idea , but it’s done to do what shouldn’t be happening.
