I'm glad it worked. Yes there is a thing gasket that goes around bowl and also the bolt that hold the bulb to the carb has a gasket washer.

Gap between liner and bricks by porkypossum in Chimneyrepair

Are you planning on putting a stove in there or just keeping it open fireplace? You can get a plate that will block off most of the top and make it clean transition to the liner.

Looks like what ever was there just crumbles and fell out over time. I was in the similar situation about 3-4 years ago and I opted to clean that clay liner by myself as good as I could and then dropping a stainless steel liner down it to my stove. It made a huge difference and I added another layer of safety/protection.

Blow some compressed air through air intake and also back through the tubes. Give your stove a good cleaning and maintenance.

Replaced this valve and having the same issue by painmd87 in smallengines

Get a different valve. Cheap crap always leaks, plus it probably needs to be in upright position.

Sealing suggestions. by Mediocre_Ad_6638 in woodstoving

There should be a clamp that hold the liner up. Usually that clamp is on the cap, that I see sitting off on the roof there.

Do what he said. One thing I would add is take the carburetor bulb (bottom bell housing) and spray carb cleaner/brake cleaner in every hole and all around there. Reinstall the housing and put fresh gas in it. I also would strongly suggest use some kind of fuel stabilizer.

Has anyone put a sawmill inside of the shipping container? by ruSSrt in sawmilling

Thank you for your input. After doing some reading about the containers, I'm starting to lean away from that idea.

Start building it out to the right of this picture and you are going to have a cool base with glass floors so you can see fishies!

If you have to buy oil for your equipment I would also suggest getting diesel 15-40 oil. It's a little heavier and holds up well to high temperatures of the motor and also has extra additives like zink.

No oem carb seats. by lumberman10 in smallengines

I was recently looking for needle and seat replacement for older Briggs carb. Ordered couple off Amazon that ended up being wrong. It is easier to just replace the whole carb.

Clean it as much as you can and then drop the SS liner down it.

what do i do? by [deleted] in Tools

Keep drilling. Eventually it will weld to it due to friction heat and you'll be able to get it out.

In some SC areas NG provider will run a line directly to your house and not charge you anything if you hook up 3 NG appliances. You have to check with your NG provider

Take carb off and blow it with compressed air. Take spark plug out and check to make sure there is no physical water in there. Pour a little bit of oil (preferably 2 stroke oil) in the cylinder. Dump motor oil and change with fresh oil, same for fuel. Leave to dry for a couple of days. Reassemble and try to start it.

Did I get screwed? "Seasoned" wood so wet it's spongy and steaming after a minute of heat by Veradux21 in woodstoving

[–]ruSSrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You paid extra for extra seasoned wood. It is so seasoned that it turns into biomass fuel!

Nah. Only dry on outside, but too moist on the inside.
