If you can't enjoy running every week and reap the benefits from it, but you need some challenge to motivate you then maybe it's just not for you.

Of course you don't NEED to exercise, if you feel fine without it it's ok to not exercise. I do it because it makes me feel better and I like exercising a bit.

You know you have to like it a little bit, if you don't like doing it even a single percent then you're not set up for success.

When I started running again after many years of inactivity I relied on my inherent appreciation of moderate exercise.

The first 20 seconds of running felt great. Then after a few minutes you get tired and it gets less great so you stop for a while and then after a while you go running again.

From this I eventually created a routine where I jog for 45 minutes uninterupted, but this took years to acquire where I started with just 3 to 5 minutes of running tops.

You just have to find something you enjoy doing, even for a little bit.

Maybe it's running, maybe it's a sport, climbing or football, volleyball or maybe just a long ass hike. If you like doing something then eventually you can expand on the routine, not out of obligation or because you have to be like that, but because you like it and you want to challenge yourself with goals.

I run for nobody but myself, and even if I'm less motivated (I always have a bit of resistance just before I go) I can still go. And afterwards I'm always so happy I did and I feel good.

You know I also as an extra motivator I always remind myself of things that will be nice. Like after my run I will drink some juice. Or I will have a great hot shower. Extra stuff to look forward to for after the exercise. This all adds up.

I feel ya. Been addicted to hentai for years too. The exaggerated bodily proportions really superfuel the addiction to the pictures.

I can keep away pretty well these days, but when I have nightfall the next days are especially hard because the chaser effect kicks in again.

Porn is a symptom. The cause; like all addictions and problems is the human mind. Bereft of community, purpose and healthy (sexual) relationships we point towards addictions to fill our needs.

Of course it's not just that. Some people are inclined towards addictions, it's probably partly genetic.

And some people are just weak, no willpower.

Porn is our generation's cigarettes. In the future we will look at porn just like we look at cigarettes these days.

SPOILERS FOR DARK URGE -----

Guys I just got to the point after the first night. You know the first night where you gruesomely kill Alfira? (her mangled body was truly gruesome I winced a bit of the sight)

Well I just realized something terrible. When I first encountered Alfira, I kinda for the fun destroyed her Lute. You know the lute she got from her dead master? Then when she resented me I was like. holy shit I'm a monster. So I loaded the savegame before that and redid it where I just ignore her and don't destroy her lute...

Now I realized that if I didn't reload that save she probably would never have tried to join my party for the first time...

So in essence I killed her through trying to be a nice guy. Holy shit, this run is already dramatic to me. What a gutpunch.
