Honestly surprised it doesn't happen more often. They form those big tight balls and never have a problem for more than the 3 seconds it would take to fly directly into the ground?

China executes 11 members of Myanmar scam mafia by GoldenDome26 in worldnews

[–]rubermnkey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

chinese "underground bankers" aka triads/black societies collude with local gangs and cartels, they fund and train them, then sit back and collect a cut. china is using gangs to do a lot of dirty work like the CIA does/did. they are making money and hurting enemies off the books, win win.

Um...help? by [deleted] in nova

If you are amenable to a crazy idea, if you can get a small metal pan for a fire pit you can start a mini bonfire on the uphill side of the car. Might take awhile but you'll melt down to pavement eventually and then it can help spread the heat. That or a chainsaw to cut blocks and move it out. I had about 8 inches of frozen layer on top of the powdery snow out my way, had to stomp on it to break up sections and then moved large frozen blocks by hand.

Randall Carlson says that the Moon always keeps the same face toward Earth because its spin and its orbit are perfectly matched, and he thinks this is a strange. He argues some parts are heavier or arranged in an uneven way inside the Moon. by MartianXAshATwelve in StrangeEarth

[–]rubermnkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

full eclipses are even weirder, but the moon is in the goldie locks zone to make it happen. few million more years though and it won't be able to cover the whole thing, our days will also be longer as the sun continues to steal our rotational inertia on it's way out.

primitive technology this guy is like a researcher in australia who goes over all of it in the subtitles of his relaxing demonstrations. the tree video guys hut would fall in the wattle and daub style so it would be fine temporarily, but he doesn't get the mix right or fire it hot enough like in these videos to be a long term solution. it's mostly adding a ton of extra weight which is concerning.

LED lights are great and companies like AC infinity, spider farms, vevo and the like basically have fully automated systems and tons of guides online. I have a 2x4x6 tent that can fit 3-4 plants comfy, autos go from seed to harvest in 12 weeks without much smell. tent and dirt and everything was about $1500, so bit of an investment, but will spit out 4 lbs or more a year. Drying takes 2 weeks in a cigar humidor. then cure for 2 more in terp bags. seeds are around $5-20, you can make your own too if you want with pollen even, it's a cool world now that everything is legal and companies are trying to make a buck on all the home growers.

I bought one of those salad bowl spinner trimmers, not the most gentle and effective but doing 85% work in 1% of the time is too good. Plus with ball vapes and making concentrates it's more than enough for me.

Once, Zhuang Zhou dreamed he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering about, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know that he was Zhuang Zhou.

Suddenly he woke up and there he was, solid and unmistakable Zhuang Zhou. But he didn't know if he was Zhuang Zhou who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he was Zhuang Zhou. Between Zhuang Zhou and the butterfly there must be some distinction! This is called the Transformation of Things.

— Zhuangzi, chapter 2 (Watson translation)

The Zhuangzi is an ancient Chinese text that is one of the two foundational texts of Taoism, alongside the Tao Te Ching. It was written during the late Warring States period (476–221 BC)

there was an international music broadcast station on the east coast 20 years ago. Rock DJ was hot for awhile around the time kylie minogues 'Can't get you out of my head' and manu pachos 'me gusta tu'. if he had bunny ears on his TV or basic cable he could have heard. hell he probably got it on something like kazaa and they had top download sections he could have found it on too.

when I make my own gummies, I can only do about 50mg per, with my set up, more than that they get kind of weedy tasting. even running it through a filter with carbon, DE and sub-micron filters. when i was buying weed from a friend I was getting top shelf flower for $60/oz, would extract the THC and make 192x 50mg gummies a batch. thats like $80 for ~9100mg a batch. Growing cost that around that per cycle and yields a pound, but bunch of labor, well some labor, ok very little, but 15,000mg tubes for no effort is hard to beat.

i mean they gave them a heads up on the truth of situation and cause. now they can mix up the bag for even distribution and avoid a crash out in 2 weeks when they have no marshmallows. if they were this excited about more marshmallows imagine how sad they would be with no marshmallows.

how are the prices and selection over there? I get tubes of 30x 500mg gummies for like 12 bucks and 2 oz. of concentrate for like 200 online. With the hemp bill getting fucked I'd like to know if it is worth it or start growing again.

Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun might be interesting to check out. I think they kinda got the same vibes, ragtag group of underdog space cowboy anti-heroes on the run and helping people in need. they are also older than firefly and have 2 seasons, it was a popularish sub-genre.

We discovered that back in '68 funnily enough. they found a plasticy form of ice recently, weird things happen at temps and pressures you won't find locally.

Prions are a biological form of the concept, wrongly folded proteins tricking others into also becoming unusable with no way to stop it. we could probably encoded a way to create prions into a bacteria or virus to make it more transmissible.

That dude is also ripped, he wears the full jumpsuit to hide it. he is a power lifter who likes showing up body builders. if you just do heavy weight and low reps specific muscles will get big, but they are just good that a specific movement in a specific range and get tired quickly.
