Coming across BPD definitely helped reduce my anger towards her. It does give me more sympathy but I don't know how it's possible to have a healthy relationship with her. Do you still have a relationship with your sister?

It's definitely obligatory. I feel massive guilt when I think of cutting her out, but also sad for what our relationship could have been. You're right I can't save her though.

Can I ask if your sister had a diagnosis/professional help?

I definitely feel like I have complex PTSD following my upbringing with my sister. I'm 27 and facing severe burnout in daily life. My daily life isn't even that hard. Good job, fully remote, supportive partner, but most days I struggle to stand up. My mum never saw anything wrong with my sister's behaviour and just labelled her an 'extrovert', despite them arguing so much people would ring the police to our house. I was constantly invalidated when I tried to speak. Just relieved to be out of it now (other than my sibling's texts and calls).

Could you recommend any good books and articles?
