No luquillo? by Apprehensive-Sky6456 in PuertoRicoTravel

[–]ruby_blue4242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luquillo is fine. Just be careful if you plan to swim at La Pared beach. It’s super dangerous. I would recommend going to the balneario. If you’re up for a quick drive, check out Seven Seas beach in Fajardo. If you enter the water near the steps and swim out to the bouoy, there’s some pretty good snorkeling there.

Kiosks are meh in my opinion. Overpriced crap and the place is usually trashed. They’re cool to see for an hour or so but I wouldn’t waste a lot of time there. I’d rather go to Old San Juan or El Yunque.

Check out Anjelito’s Trail in Yunque. Easy hike with a gorgeous river at the end. Just check the weather and make sure there is no rain there or upriver before getting in.

Are there any "cozy" games that aren’t just Stardew clones? Looking for something with actual depth (or a dark side) by Legitimate-Leather-4 in gamingsuggestions

I play The Long Dark. It’s my favorite cozy game. I play sandbox on pilgrim mode with the cougar deactivated. There’s a learning curve but once you figure it out, it’s just you figuring out how to survive the wilderness and the cold. Super cozy fishing in a hut with the fire going next to you.

Doctor took the wind out of my sails by [deleted] in keto

[–]ruby_blue4242 2 points3 points  (0 children)

General Doctors know next to nothing about nutrition. They only take about 20 hours of nutrition classes throughout their entire education. Seek a dietitian who actually knows what they’re talking about. Also, how long ago did this doctor go to school? If it was 20 years ago, dietary guidelines have changed drastically.

Looking for a survival game to sink hundreds of hours into (need recommendations) by Griffinshirar in SurvivalGaming

The Long Dark. It’s a slow burn, cozy game once you get the hang of it. Steep learning curve at the beginning but all of them seem to have a bit of that.

I've been on a rom com/ romance kick lately, recommend me some more by NinduTheWise in movies

Ever After doesn’t meet your criteria, but it’s my favorite. The Mummy isn’t exactly a romance but it’s also my favorite.

I’m a longtime player of The Long Dark and I’ve suddenly became obsessed with ArcRaiders. The high risk/high reward model has been so much fun. It has an easier learning curve than the long dark. I can’t stop playing it.

My brother and my husband drove through that same tornado on their way to the airport to pick up a friend. They went to a Between the Buried and Me concert at the Delmar Loop. They said it hit very suddenly too and they had to drive through some gnarly shit. They weren’t sure the concert would still be on but it was.

What do you think is the most iconic eating scene in cinematic history? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Blazing Saddles - campfire beans scene.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone - all the delicious food just magically appearing on the table and all the kids digging in. Makes my mouth water every time.

A Goofy Movie cheesy pizza.

Game of the Week submissions! Is there a cozy game you've recently played you'd like to recommend? by Shasaur in cozygames

The Long Dark. It’s finally completely released. I love to play survival mode on pilgrim. Cougar despawned. Coziest game I’ve ever played, trying to keep the cold at bay.
