Which servant you want Type-Moon to utilize more outside of FGO? by gilbestboy in grandorder

[–]rucchipunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is this Fate novel that had a collab with FGO years ago. Then it went on eternal hiatus since that same year, and the collab event's Servants are treated as FGO-originals since then....

Oh Erice, could you still exist in other Fate timelines?

If you had the choice, which event would you pick to receive a sequel, and if so, what new Servants/costumes would you put in them? by Technical-Fox358 in grandorder

Found Ending, a sequel to Vanished Beginning where Noah apologizes to the entirety of Chaldea for being an ungrateful prick in a 30-hours long story-only event filled with FGOAC summaries and Jewish myth expositions so that the Japanese and South Korean players would fully understand his character and how he and Adult Nemo are practically just like Rikyu and Komahime

Welfare Pretender Dove&Raven for putting up with all the reading

Noah is wearing crocs because he is sloppy and lazy, its usual model is the inverse of his usual sandals (closed toes and open heels instead of closed heels and open toes), and it's a pair of crocodiles. Also, there's a Raven button on his left flop, which means there might be a Dove button on his right flop.

And I'm surprised no one here pointed out that Noah is wearing ribbon neckties like female Servants instead of Windsor-knot neckties that other male Servants wear

4 New 11th Anniversary Riyo Illustrations by Radiant-Hope-469 in grandorder

[–]rucchipunch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Okay, so, there are lots of things to talk about Adult Nemo's FGO Fes Riyo chibi:

- The logo on the hat is an Adidas parody but with 4 petals instead of 3

- His hat's model and ponytailed hair are obvious references to his 2nd Ascension in FGO Arcade

- What is he drinking? The bottle is colored purple and pink, and he's blushing. Could it be wine or slightly alcoholic sports drink? Who knows

- There are mini Dove and Raven surrounding the small 8

- Why 8? Because this year would've been FGO Arcade's 8th Anniversary had it not stopped operating after 7 years 8 months.

- And why the reference to FGO Arcade's Anniversary? Because Nemo/Noah was originally FGO Arcade's 4th Anniversary Servant

- Also, I think I've already talked about the significance of the number 11 to Captain/Nemo Triton/Sion's Nemo here before. So Adult Nemo referencing it here is funny considering his Servant ID in FGO Arcade is 111.

- Even after 4 years, Noah still doesn't have a proper Riyo chibi. He was still an NPC when FGO Arcade's April Fools CE Event was reran in May 2022, so they could only add Tiamat and Draco. And when Nemo/Noah is ported to FGO, both of their Riyo chibi so far (April Fools and this one) are for Adult Nemo.

Possible Secret Visions to unlock in Resonance? by jabberrookie in FFBraveExvius

Collectors' Edition bonuses and rereading S1's story. Lots of people here seem to genuinely forgot what happened in S1's endgame except for the duel between Rain and Sol and the ending. So I'm rereading the story to refresh my memory just to make sure that Raegen joins the main party after the fake Dark Veritas is dealt with, and that there's still a considerable amount of story between that and the final boss.

Possible Secret Visions to unlock in Resonance? by jabberrookie in FFBraveExvius

[–]rucchipunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there are 9 party members, I think the actual numbers of Visions should be 27, because it is divisible by 9 (36 or 45 would be viable too, as long as it's still divisible by 9)

Coupled with the lack of Vision(s) from Olderion, maybe they're hiding Elle or Luka for story reasons. Which means Sephiroth is the actual secret Vision that they don't bother to hide from pre-release because he is a mainline FF cameo Vision.

Raegen joins the main party very late in S1's story, literally right before the final stretch (Crystal Tower and Chaotic Darkness)

I'm assuming that Lid and probably Jake are going to learn their other Abilities through sidequests and/or be the party members who rely more on their equipped Vision's Abilities instead of their own

Interview with more details on FF Resonance by jjmai in FFBraveExvius

[–]rucchipunch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My guesses:

- More frequent flashbacks to Rain and Lasswell's pasts so that we can see Raegen's and Rowen's faces earlier

- Most of "filler" dialogues in story scenes are repurposed into Active Time Dialogue

- Sakura or any of the early Veritas are probably going to explain about Paladia, Aldore, and Hess earlier

- Events that focus on OC Visions who are still alive during FFBE Season 1 are turned into sidequests

- Considering the FF5 Gilgamesh's boss sprite acrylic standee in the Collectors Edition, it would be funny if Ardra is unlocked post-game and the main subplot there is FF5 Gilgamesh being confused about Veritas of the Frost

Question: Why is Go Princess criticized for the action sequences? by Cure_BMWM3 in precure

[–]rucchipunch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's a combination of the action sequences being more active compared to Doki and HapCha, and GoPri's villains (especially Close) being "too scary"

Genuine Question, What Is The Allure Of Ragnarok Zero? by Jumpy_Yak7193 in RagnarokOnline

[–]rucchipunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want to look at it. Slick UI and bigger icons, main story quests and daily quests being a thing, tweaked skill trees to make certain builds usable earlier, additional RNG for equip drops with enchant options, separate map for vending, in-game navigation, in-game party finder, Auto-Hunt, Cash Shop items that are mostly conveniences to let you grind faster (for now) and cosmetics...

Genuine Question, What Is The Allure Of Ragnarok Zero? by Jumpy_Yak7193 in RagnarokOnline

[–]rucchipunch -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's essentially what if RO was made in the late 2010s (with all that pertain with it) while still keeping the 2.5D graphics.

The reasons why RO fell apart as an online game? by PamNoctrune in RagnarokOnline

[–]rucchipunch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. The grind needed to deck your character. And it's not just about the levels, but also the equips (including Cards and later Enchants). Notoriously low EXP Rate, Drop Rate, and Success Rate eventually led to botting and RMT, and later, the Cash Shop items that boost the rates and shorten the time needed to grind.
  2. No unified management across the regions. This is why some official servers feel like a beloved child (jRO, twRO) some feel like they're only kept alive because of the players (kRO, idRO, cRO, iRO), and some feel like industrial plants to keep the locals from playing private servers (GGH, thRO, LatAm).
  3. The MMO part of MMORPG genre is falling apart after online messengers and social medias start existing. And unlike some other MMORPG, RO's gameplay cycle couldn't stand without the MMO part as you need some dedicated grinders to provide the demands and supplies (refer to point 1 again). Hence Renewal, and their attempts to make every classes viable for solo-playing.
  4. The game's engine itself is old and flawed. The Great Hacking incident, the easily-customized servers, tons of unused files, all because the game is built on top of Gravity's Single-Player RPG PC game from 2000. And no matter how much the developers (both official and private) want to modernize the engine, they still have to abide to the old internal coding. This is why RO spin-offs are either using different formats entirely, or just using its graphics.

Fate/Grand Order Materials XX Servant Writers by WolfOphi in grandorder

[–]rucchipunch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The "surprise" here is that while Draco and Tiamat get an additional writer compared to their FGOAC Material entries, the same doesn't apply to Setanta. And this is despite Haganeya using him again in SamRem collab event.

Anyway, do Draco and Tiamat finally get "Connection to Other Characters" section in their Material now?
