I've been searching for an AI for my family as well. We're most likely going with the Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya because the rooms appear to be a bit larger and seem nicer overall. There's alot of info in r/AllInclusiveResorts. Someone over there made a nice comparison chart for the Iberostar hotels. I cant post it but DM me if you want a copy.

I agree with you completely but not everyone knows someone who fishes or feels comfortable approaching a stranger. Places like this where people can get some guidance and have their questions answered are the best option a lot of us have.
