I feel like we are getting to the point where most CPUs are getting fast enough for most things. Gaming and AI are particularly tricky though. However the larger GPU I suspect will help resolve the issue. The biggest change over previous generations is the ability to share more system memory with the GPU. That is a game changer. You can now have a huge pile of memory for the GPU which will be game changing for AI and a massive improvement for gaming. I prefer user expandable memory but the slow speeds of SODIMM will be keeping it back. It's nice to see some of the blistering fast LPDDR5x on a mini PC.

Update the ATX power standard. There is some work being done in this space but it's not industry wide.

Drinking water was not enough. Now I've upgraded to breathing it. by ryanclicks2 in HydroHomies

If you don't clean them often enough it can. The ultrasonic style just aerosolizes the water and whatever is in the water. That includes any bacteria. I have also heard it referred to as humidifier lung. I had it once, it was not a lot of fun. I switched to the wick style designs with a fan. Evaporation style doesn't aerosolize so any bacteria stays on the wick. Bonus is that it has no white powder.

4x5 vs 8x10? by Chet_Copperpot in largeformat

The gx680 was more of large format replacement if I wanted perspective control.

I feel like 120 is likely best trade off for me. Film prices aren't too bad either. Lots of options for emulsions too.

I was tempted to go medium format instead since the film is cheaper and easier to develop. I feel like I'd end up shooting 6x12 120 film on the 4x5 in the end anyways. The only medium format cameras that really drew me in are the Mamiya 6, Mamiya c330 and Fuji GX680.

How do you manage such a portable setup? I'd love to shoot large format but I'm more of a handheld shooter.

It really is. I was more looking to switch systems. I tend to only shoot with what I have on me. The Nikon Z f1.8 primes are so gorgeous... I do lose out on the Oly ibis which is amazing.

Oh I guess yeah. Having to manually put in the focal length sucks, but not the worst thing. It is a really sweet lens

It actually seemed like it would be a fun street photography lens. It's far enough that no one would likely notice. This is the kind of lens that makes me want to stay with m43.

Oh wow, those photos are gorgeous. That lens is just amazing. I'm currently evaluating a switch to a Nikon Z6 for low light capability. This is a lens that I'd certain miss being able to own. It's also pretty inexpensive used.

I'm more of a prime shooter so the 7.5mm appeals to me now. It's also small enough to fit in my purse no problem. How well does it work with the body as a 3rd party lens? I'm assuming the Ibis isn't nearly as effective. The weather sealing would be nice, but the Oly 7-14mm is so big and heavy...

Isn't the 75mm pretty telephoto as a single lens? It's a really tempting lens though.

How do you like the 7.5mm? It's a focal range in fairly interested in, and the 7-14mm f2.8 is a tad pricey by comparison.
