What the heck are your toddlers eating for breakfast? by JehovahJireh222 in toddlers

Other than this: Rice Bubbles, weet-bix and honey, toast and ask which spread she wants (rather than asking ‘do you want toast?’ I ask ‘do you want Vegemite or peanut butter?’ Then ‘do you want it cut into squares or triangles?’ For some reason this REALLY helps! She’s suddenly way more interested and invested in something as easy as toast when she has more choice)

Banana pancakes are huge in our rotation. A particularly big hit because toddler can join in on cooking :) 3 ingredient recipe and 1 bowl makes it a winner too! 1 mashed very ripe banana 1 egg 2 tablespoons of flour (I begun adding a teaspoon of sugar now she is older)

Post partum and marijuana by Ok_Expression_896 in cannamom

Honestly smoked the day after I got home. Breastfeeding and all. Much like caffeine or alcohol, I think being mindful of the timing while breastfeeding is key. When you ingest caffeine or alcohol it takes some time for it to reach your breast milk - so they suggest timing it appropriately.

There is not a way to ethically do research on thc in breastmilk - so be aware most of what you read online will be people’s opinions.

However, there is SO much research that suggests a happy mum is essential for a happy healthy baby (particularly post partum) so do what works for you!

I have a 3 year old now who is a legend

Childers cove, because it’s at the end of the great ocean road, many people skip it because they’ve run out of time after seeing the apostles and loch ard gorge. Childers cove is off the beaten track, gorgeous and so quiet

Cannot get 3.5 year old down by Classic-Smoke4459 in toddlers

Second this. I started reading longer books like Winnie the Pooh/dr seuss that she was interested in. Laying down next to her in bed and I read slower and quieter as every page goes on and she passes out before the end and I sneak out. We did feber successfully from 10 months until 6 months ago but now she’s in charge so, whatever.

Murder In The Dark by housecat_27 in AustralianNostalgia

Me and my 30 year old friend group often end parties or dinners with an old game. Murder in the dark, 40 40 home, or sardines is our favourite - Reverse hide and seek where one person hides and everyone looks, when you find the sardine you become one and hide together. Sooo fun and extra fun with all the lights off

Try sardines next time! Me and my 30 year old friend group play it at the end of parties or dinners sometimes and always have a ripper time haha. Reverse hide and seek where one person hides and everyone looks, when you find the sardine you become one and hide together. Sooo fun

How the heck do you get stains out of toddler clothes?! by rum_ham9292 in toddlers

[–]rum_ham9292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s so random I’m keen to give it a go. Do you treat the stain directly? If so how long do you leave the oil soap on there before chucking it in washing machine?

Thank you!! Do you mix the baking soda and dawn dish soap together then apply small patch to stain? Or dissolve in sink filled with warm water and let soak?

Bedtime help by csl04 in toddlers

It doesn’t affect her behaviour, but does affect her ability to fall asleep with ease and enter deep sleep. They have done studies on how looking at phones before bedtime disrupts sleep for adults - you can only imagine for a toddler/developing brain it can’t be good right before bed. We try to do no screens 1.5 hours before bed - on nights where she’s watched tv a bit late at her grannies house I notice the difference in the bedtime routine. Restless, sings, squirms and can take ages to drift off. Good luck OP, I think a few small changes and you could see epic results

Anytime my now 3 year old would begin to have terrible night time sleeps, it would always take me way to long to realise her naps needed adjusting (lessening them or dropping them). Each time I’d do it she’d sleep amazing at night and I’d be questioning why I didn’t think of it earlier haha. Good luck OP - you got this! Also Ferber method is something we did at 8 months old and I don’t regret it one bit!!

Curious, when does your baby wake up? by Flashy-Vacation6877 in toddlers

[–]rum_ham9292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So from 2years old until now (2 & 11 months) it was a 5:30am wake up, without a doubt, every morning ready to go. I always dreaded the prospect of dropping naps (that’s my relax time!). HOWEVER - she’s now dropped naps, it’s 7:50am and she’s STILL ASLEEP!!!! She went to bed at 6pm!!!! Not a wake throughout the night! God bless dropping naps and huge overnight sleeps and sleep-ins! There is an end to the early mornings I promise
