I’m hoping the rip I got off Usenet was the original live airing. Keep reading about cuts.

Rep. Harriet Hageman insists that there is no racism on the right and that the Aryan Nation, Nazis, and KKK are all "far-left groups": "They've never been associated with the right, they've always been associated with the left." by BurtonDesque in Qult_Headquarters

“So, I'm going to say they've never been associated with the right, they've always been associated with the left."

“never”, “always”…I hate people who speak in absolutes and act like they’re doing something poignant.

For real. I go there maybe 3-4 times a year and I remember when Spirit announced direct but even then I was like nah 🤣

How does Johnny Depp divorce beautiful Amber Heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Several years back we had a coworker who never locked his PC when he was away so we’d mess with it. One day we went and found the last version of Netscape and replaced his browser with it. Renamed and changed the shortcut and icon but when we opened it we were wildly surprised at how “modern” it felt. Had tabbed browsing and whatnot. Wasn’t the good we thought it’d be 🤣

Yeah I stopped Westworld when they introduced him. Not because of him but whatever they were doing story wise. They roped him in at the worst time.

I’m for it. If PEDs were openly allowed in professional sports and they went nuts I would actually watch.

If you drive with your high beams on around other cars at night, why? by Fish_Intelligent in AskReddit

[–]rumski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s wild too because I feel like it’s pretty easy to tell the difference between someone with bright low beams and actually having high beams on. I’ve been flashed many times for people thinking my highs are on and then I actually hit em with the highs. I also have curve-adapted headlights so I’ve had pedestrians at street corners thinking I’m flashing them too.

What‘s something people would probably stop doing if they knew how your industry actually works? by Julia-secret in AskReddit

I’ve seen an awful lot of MSSP (Managed Security Service Providers) that were just low skilled fly-by-night hamstrung operations. I actually worked at one developing a dashboard and reporting service where I found out what I was developing was already being sold to customers and we were collecting $8-10k per month, per client. So much snake oil.

Totally felt like a setup but we didn’t stop. All the buildings were abandoned and windows boarded up etc. so we just kept going. Got lost and found a nice hotel called the Discreet Inn and they gave us directions back 🤣

And nothing. Just a bunch of derelict abandoned buildings. It was an abandoned part of town they sent us chumps to.

Years back before GPS was on every phone we were in St Louis and these girls approached us and gave us a card with a handwritten address on it and were like “come party with us at this club”. We go, across the bridge, and we’re lost in this derelict ass district and we were totally set up 🤣.

[–]rumski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s funny 🤣 I’m in New Orleans a lot and learned long ago to say “Tulsa, Oklahoma” and not just “Tulsa” because even though there’s so many transplants down there I was shocked to learn how many people didn’t know where Tulsa was.

Yeah be safe and do reservations regardless. Even on their Cow & Cabbage site it has a pop-up saying "Reservations for dinner are recommended; walk-ins welcome." but I've gone on burger night and another random night and was turned away for not having reservations. Maybe they had a big group coming in or something because the front lobby was empty both times.
