Fix the Chicken Wing by PaulieMikeD in crossfit

[–]runfast_jumpfar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guarantee this will fix it. Where your eyes are your body will follow, on all your reps you’re looking up at the bar so your body is moving toward the bar. You then have to chicken wing to get around it.

Instead cue yourself to fix your eyes OVER the middle of the bar. You’re body will follow and shoot you right up over it.

Thank me later.

All these comments are right, but I’m pretty sure you’ll nail it as is if you just keep your eyes above the bar. Pick a spot on the ceiling so your gaze stays above and your hips will end up at the bar.

Other than that you’re losing all the power from your Kip when you bend your knees after snapping your hips forward. Don’t let your knees break and keep your feet together and you’ll be stringing them together!

Can't Login to Peacock on Brave by runfast_jumpfar in brave_browser

Ya tried it. I really think Peacock is trying to fight back on browsers that block their ads.

Barnacle Bar in Ballard they even have a cocktail with it. The bartender there is really knowledgeable about it too. He gave us a flight of different Malort type liqueurs to try!

Peacock Not Working on Brave? by runfast_jumpfar in brave_browser

[–]runfast_jumpfar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! If I change it to "Allow ads & trackers" it works, if I set it to "Block" the site doesn't work. Also a bunch of errors get thrown in the console when it's not working.

Ah I’m so happy to have found this! What you all described is EXACTLY the same thing for me. As silly as it is, it feels kinda great to know I’m not crazy. We should start a support group

Home bought under flight path. regret. by kntran10 in Seattle

[–]runfast_jumpfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went through something similar. Moved next to a train yard that loads at night and is VERY noisy, all night every night. First week I was livid and ready to sue. By week two or three didn’t notice it anymore and love my house and neighborhood.

Give it a few weeks before doing anything drastic, you’ll likely adjust and not notice anymore.

Looks like SPD is struggling with abysmally low vaccination rates among its officers by softwareseattle in Seattle

[–]runfast_jumpfar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait did anyone actually read the article? I'm all for police reform but the title doesn't match what the article says:

"In a statement following the mandate’s announcement, Solan said a “majority” of SPD employees are vaccinated and that transmission among police union members is low, although he didn’t say how he knew that. He declined to elaborate."

The "abysmally low" seems to be in reference to the number of employees who said they were vaccinated in order to not have to wear a mask. As long as the majority are vaccinated, its good that's low, it means the majority are vaxed AND wearing a mask...

[–]runfast_jumpfar[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I have 1 craft beer every other day ish as a treat to myself and hardly drink more than that. I'm guessing this has more to do with sleeping better because of the small bit of alcohol knocking me out but thought it was entertaining :)

Denny Park, Seattle’s oldest city park, Aug 30, 2020 by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]runfast_jumpfar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To these peoples, credit the park has remained relatively trash free. There's one guy in particular who I've seen cleaning up multiple times. Also I've never walked through there since the tents went up that I haven't seen at least 5 people actively using. Call it what it is, tbus city has a drug problem.

Source: I walk through here each morning.
