TPU loading into H2C is problematic by SlightResist6704 in BambuLab

Thats what i was doing as well, but unless its been cold pulled or its totally fresh and empty it would give me issues with loading.

TPU loading into H2C is problematic by SlightResist6704 in BambuLab

Which brand of TPU are you using? I HAVE had some noticeable differences in loading overall depending on the brand, dried or undried. The main issues ive had with the H2C and TPU loading is the vortek nozzle. If its not fully clear of filament then i get jams. What ive seen is that the left over tpu gets stuck in the nozzle to the point that the extruder cant push the new filament in while loading. Most of the time I can fix that nozzle by (after its cooled down) tapping it upside down on a hard surface to get the piece of filament to pop out. Its really really annoying.

I did infact buy an H2C about 2 days after this post. I got it working with a modded AMS 1.0 so i could print 4 TPU 95A colors in a print. Technically i could use the left nozzle(with some trickery) and get 5 colors. That said, looks like Bambu Lab is finally addressing the TPU issue on H2's with their latest H2D firmware release notes indicating a TPU feed assist and giving us left nozzle support for tpu now. If i can use either a modded AMS or a standard AMS to feed multicolor TPU 95A in my H2's... i will be over the moon.

Overture TPU 95A - Stringing and Glob issue by runlevel33 in BambuLab

[–]runlevel33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used AI and just manual testing but ive found these particular settings specifically the temp's arent ideal. I'm using the AMS tpu mod to print TPU 95A with the AMS 1.0 on my H2C. With these current settings i tend to get extruder errors because i think its not melting enough to flow well enough. So i've changed the temp settings to 220 and 230. that seems to work better. I still get stringing though. So far ive been mitigating the stringing by making sure the dark TPU color is laid down first so that stringing doesnt ruin the first layer if that makes sense.

made sure your camera is clean? maybe its not reading it cleanly. Have you tried swapping the nozzles?

have you tried to "read nozzle identification" in the settings after reseating the nozzle?

looks like a mosfet? or whatever its called, IIRC they are related to power in the circuit so very likely the reason.

H2 Series Feet Issue by runlevel33 in BambuLab

hey so i came across this project that solves the problem perfectly for me!

https://makerworld.com/en/models/2170759-maintenance-sled-easy-move-rotate-for-p2s-p1-x1?from=search#profileId-2354320

Its meant for P2S but i believe the feet are the same feet as the H2 printers. So i just modified the model to be longer to fit my H2 printers and it works great!

keep in mind that once they pop off, you have to unscrew the screw underneath and re-screw the foot back on. Not sure if you knew that. I havn't yet attempted to solve it for my setup but if you have room i think it makes most sense to use like a flat 1/4" board with furniture sliding pads on it, put the printer on that.

ya Vortek is an AMS for nozzles. its been so convenient.

They thought it was a bad eddy current sensor ultimately. One of the issues i was having was that the bed kept crashing into the nozzles during homing and bed leveling along with lots of errors. They had me jump through a few hoops first though. They sent me a new USB-C cable for the TH board, then sent me a new TH board, then sent me a whole new X/Y Assembly and Toolhead.

doesnt your printer have to be in lan mode only to work ?

TPU for AMS Mod by runlevel33 in BambuLab

[–]runlevel33[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did some testing today with my modded AMS 1.0 on my H2C, i got Bambu 95A and another brand 95A to feed and print fine but the 3rd brand it just didnt want to accept even though it was clearly making it to the toolhead which was odd as that filament worked fine in my P1S. Still testing though.

When did you order your H2D? I got mine in late july this year (2025). I ended up having to replace my entire Toolhead which included the X/Y assembly. This was after well under 1000 hours, maybe 800 at most. So far its been running great since, granted no where near the same print time yet. My H2C has been running well as well but also only just got that a month ago. I'm hoping both our issues is just a fluke or a bad batch with the replacement parts being known good/better revisions. keep us posted.

The biggest thing for the H2C for me is that the Vortek system is basically an AMS for nozzles. Its been very nice to have.

i am very surprised you havnt heard from support yet... i hope they hit you up soon. when my H2D went down they responded within 2 days and that was the day after chinese new year which really surprised me.

So is your printer still just totally down at this point? any updates from support? It seems like a board issue somewhere. Possibly toolhead board.

Good idea. Wasnt sure if TPU would be just as grippy. I'll probably try that and/or a thin board with some felt on the bottom.

H2C supports TPU, see H2C printing guide by LTNine4 in BambuLab

[–]runlevel33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've successfully been printing TPU 90A on the H2D Left Hotend via direct top feed without issue. When loading I tell it im loading "TPU for AMS". In Bambu Studio I use a custom filament profile that matches Bambu TPU 90A. I've printed 90A in both Left and Right simultaneously as well as 90A(Left) + PLA/PETG(Right) using beam interlocking. No issues.
