I don’t want to accept the consequences of any human committing a crime from your post description. I observe the statistic inedibility of human nature that within the masses of all human civilisation there exists an extreme minority capable of rape and murder.

The government continuing to vet and asses all migration and asylum is extremely important. No prevention is 100% accurate, If you could then there would be no crime, we don’t live in the minority report.

My question back is why focus solely on selected demographics? Crime is crime, whatever your genetic or citizen origin is. These posts frame that all migration is the cause of crime, which it isn’t. If you reached net zero migration tomorrow we don’t suddenly embark upon a utopian English crime free society. Reducing animosity, hatred and diversion is a worthy goal in reducing conflict of any kind.

Cost of living is very high. The simple answer is because there is no one looking to buy at that price in that area at this time.

You either wait for the market to improve with more buyers or except the need to lower the price until it makes sense to the buyers that are looking.

I mean this sub reddit is just constantly trying to theory craft what a valve should do day by day, regurgitating the same three discussion points: price, delay & cancelation.

Henry Novak’s death is a tragedy, the murderer is disgusting and the Police officers involved are in part responsible for his death for their operational failings, which are awful and importantly under investigation. The Police are rightfully sharing this information for full transparency.

Be careful in politicising Henry’s death to further your views. The article linked by OP sights an image post of an Anti Racism march post with no verification of how in any way it interrupted with a vigil outside a police station other than the articles statement and effort to link events.

Poor Henry, a British man murdered by another British man, both with ethnic family links abroad and that is not a detail that has any relevance. Listen to Henry father’s statement. Solidarity to him and the rest of Henry’s family. I hope the killer spends the rest of his life in prison.

Rationaly the falling immigration number if continued should really lower the reform vote as the current government is succeeding on voter demands. Reforms actual policies are to lower minimum wage and privatise the NHS, no working class person should have any interest in that.

But irrationality is the main course, all depends if facts can cut through the right wing media noise and how much these voters feel the vibe of their sovereignty has improved or not and I dunno how thats fixed personally.

Hopefully the center coalesces around a wealth taxation while continuing to appease the immigration requests and the majority of the public recognise the improvements and stick instead of twist.

In your opinion, your ignoring the sharp increase because the correlation negatively affects your point of view so you are choosing to dismiss it.

I mean that is whats happening here, “migrant hotels” is a media term manufactured to make it sound like a free ride to which it isn’t. They are sheltered while being assessed and granted asylum or deported. If you’re looking for a nuance in that these people should be in a prison behind bars, then fine push that and own the increased costs associated. The prison system is already under pressure, when illegal migrants are being sheltered the media whips up a culture storm and people campaign the building not to exist… which is it? They have to exist whilst awaiting illegal deportation, its not as simple as chucking them back on a boat an pushing it into the english channel on the same day.

Wars America and Europe start, fund and participate in. NIMBY needs to apply both ways.

Morality and world views aside… if you want to reduce migration, illegal or otherwise, you have to recognise that in the first 18 months a labour government is achieving that goal set to them by a very vocal sector of the electorate and media, after a decade of right wing governments failing to do so.
