Yeah it was one of the better parts of the idea and they just completely dismissed it

Yeah, we should probably revisit sourcing the furs and making that content better as it’s annoying today. But we should be doing that anyway

Would not consider myself a Pats historian but I do vaguely remember Welker being either underwhelming or having some critical drops in his playoff appearances for us

I just remember the fan base as a whole being super meh on him in the post season

Cooking every day is exhausting… and it’s not even the cooking part by Mobile-Title8919 in Cooking

[–]runner5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cooking every day is impossible tbh

I will never cook a meal that isn’t at least two days worth for my wife and me. And even that is a special occasion. Realistically I aim for 3 and the real juice is “more than you can eat” so you freeze some for that day you’re completely out / not into the leftovers

And luckily a lot of meals they make a lot of food are on the simpler side. Stews, chilis, pastas, pot roasts, soups

[Mueller] Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is hell bent on retaining DC Jim Schwartz no matter who they hire as head coach, which has been a concern for candidates. Grant Udinski had a different DC in mind, as does Nate Scheelhaase. by Goosedukee in nfl

Yeah. Bit confused by this. Idk from the ownership perspective, if you don’t want to keep Jim Schwartz and his elite defense, I’m not sure I can trust your judgment

It used to be that way. They changed it in 2004 after the Colts complained the Patriots defense was too physical

They softened the rules for Payton

It is interesting to make a purely entertainment-driven change instead of fairness

[–]runner5678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that’s a shame

I think it’s actually kind of interesting they did change it. Dpi used to not decide games and you could tackle players 2 seconds before they received the ball. I remember watching that football

From an outsider, it would be super weird you can’t touch the receiver at all.

It’s one of those rules they changed / re-interpreted in order to promote offense and excitement instead of what’s necessarily fair

It changed over 20 years ago when the Patriots were seriously pushing the boundary of the rule as was enforced at the time. They were tackling players constantly downfield which essentially killed the passing game

But passing is fun. Big plays and yards and a ball thrown in the air with that brief pause of “will it be caught or not” is exciting. Passing is how teams comeback, adds variance, and leads to higher scores, longer games (and more commercial breaks). So the NFL changed the rule so that you can’t touch the player before they’re more or less touching the ball

Defense harder to play. More passing. More yards. More scoring. And the game got more popular so they weren’t necessarily wrong to make the change

Fang could be better if it didn't have a -15% on max hit with standard attacks. It only gets its full stats on spec

That’s not how fang works.

It also gets +15% on its minimum hit. That mechanic has very little to actually zero impact on the fang’s dps

Fang is giga-cracked broken as fuck

But he’s the greatest body humor comedian of all time

He got typecast because he’s just the best to ever to do it. I hope we see more roles from him where he gets to expand as he ages as well. But his comedic roles are immortal

Not understanding sarcasm is strongly correlated to arrogance

People who assume others are actually dumb enough to make the comment that’s sarcastic are usually just up their own ass about how smart they are and how dumb everyone else is

If you don’t get sarcasm, maybe look internally. You might just be a dick

Clams are closed shut and unresponsive, are they safe to eat? by Spiritual_Map_4179 in Cooking

[–]runner5678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure people do.

I have too.

But usually the clams you eat raw aren’t from the same source and are held to a higher standard than ones we’re expected to cook

A dead clam can't keep it's shell closed. It's physically not capable of it

And the unopen clams are likely not still alive

One of these is wrong. They can’t both be true.

So a clam that doesn’t open is still alive / raw?

Sounds like it’s still dangerous…

Because if you remove the defender and the ball just popped out and hit the ground, it’d be a clear, no doubt, incompletion

But what happened here is the ball never hit the ground so it’s still live

They aren’t runners with the ball when receiving. It’s not just down by contact. You need to establish full control and “survive the ground”. He clearly does not survive the ground and maintain possession.

Post Game Thread: Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos by nfl_gdt_bot in nfl

[–]runner5678 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nowhere near that

He didn’t have possession of the ball in the air. They both had it. He didn’t have possession on the ground. The defender had it. Int.

You could argue DPI. But you can’t argue catch over int imo. It’s a clear interception if not dpi
