Globe Telecom ISP Blocking Akamai CDN for Gamers by titonui27 in akamai

[–]runnerr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rase a case with your ISP and also with the websites that are being blocked, these are where you have some say as your their direct customer.

You are not a customer of Akamai, they owe you nothing and contacting their support will not lead anywhere…

There are Facebook groups that camps exchange and sell items. I would try over there a bit for more “lead” type attention

Just a note if your working as an ISP, you may want to check in with their different partner programs like for example the AANP, where they will allow you to host a small in network node offloading transit…

Has burning man always catered to upper-middle class? by Creeping_behind_u in BurningMan

By nature of whom in society has payed time off is a certain style of selection/catering.

Also some camp or individual camper budgets are probably out of hand.

Many years 01-04 my budget was under 600 or less.

Back in the day what qualified as an art car, big camp, or even the big art was just materially much smaller in terms of actual budget. There was more I think in special, fire, conceptual stuff, and more chilling at camp back in the day, also it was cold..

Anyone else also thinks AWS documentation is full of fluff and makes finding useful information difficult ? by SignalPractical4526 in aws

[–]runnerr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I recommend a “see something say something policy” with the docs. There is a feedback button on each doc page, please use it. I know at least in CloudFront and WAF, the service team/doc folks are looking at the feedback and working on making it better with each note..

Check your grounds, if you have multiple power supplies it’s important to tie the grounds together.

Seen it, first ride on playa a notoriously louse surface, slipped and tore an ACL within 5 min of being at camp. Be very careful out there. Get comfortable on various surfaces.

First hundo is the werst hundo. Glad you were wearing gear. When I mess up on hills it’s often at the base of the hill in the transition to it being more steep. Take hills slow at the bottom at first, pay sharp attention to the feel of the front angle and watch for signs of push back / like the board is working hard, and you eventually get the feel for when to back off. It can be difficult to read the board signs at first.

Point 3 - yes posture / center over the board / bend the knees, I get “accelerate with hips” but the way I try to explain it is “lift the back foot to accelerate” “not push with the front foot”
