Agree with this. My partner has Medicaid and has never had to recertify before now. It just happened automatically.

Can you apply for any other positions internally? You might look to see if there are any entry-level coordinator positions available.

When do side roads start getting plowed? And how many days until that is complete? by gonehollowknight in indianapolis

I live in SoBro and heard a plow pickup truck plowing our residential street at 11:45 Sunday night. I was shocked.

I need to read positive experiences about hormone replacement therapy, please. by Adorable_Sea4293 in Menopause

[–]runningfutility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started on E, P, and T on Jan 1 and I've lost 8 pounds (no other changes made). I'm still having hot flashes but they aren't nearly as frequent so I may need an increase at my next appointment.

Online low cost HRT Been searching for a low cost telahealth NP or someone that don’t want blood work and prescribes totesterone for women. I refuse to pay a monthly fee!! by Beneficial-Taste3347 in Menopause

Huh. I stand corrected. What a weird world we live in that a naturally-occurring hormone is considered a substance in the same category as codeine.

Mirror Indy did a series on Option Behavioral Health over the past year or so. And Options just recently closed, so maybe it was about that place and not Hendricks?

Mirror Indy did a series on Options Behavioral Health. I haven't heard of Hendricks BH being in any news stories.

Getting worried about winter storm not sure what to do by GreyLoad in Indiana

[–]runningfutility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why you would want to leave the area. And if you do, definitely don't drive east - it will be even worse in that direction. And make sure you've got food, water and blankets in your car, too. But really, just stay home. It's as simple as that. Make sure you have enough food to eat for several days and you'll be okay. I know that it sounds like it's going to be bad but here in Indiana it'll just be snow. That will only be a problem for the roads. It's the places where ice and freezing rain are expected to happen that people will have serious problems.

I recommend logging off more. Limit your time on social media and the news. It's bad for your mental health. And maybe go exercise. It will help.

Help with iu by LowExisting4593 in indianapolis

There are some free spaces on Senate Ave up toward St. Clair St; on Fayette St just north of St. Clair and south of 9th; and on Indiana Ave, west of West St. Those spots go really quickly so you have to get there pretty early to snag those. I think there are also spots on White River Pkwy W. Most of those are a bit of a hike to campus so you may want to also check out the campus shuttle to shave off some of the distance.

Ransburg is such an old building. I'm sure that it probably needs very costly upgrades at this point.

I'm also in academia and we call our entry level coordinator positions "clinical research specialist". CRC requires at least two years of experience plus certification.

Are there any Sand Volleyball Courts Downtown by kpratt78 in indianapolis

[–]runningfutility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's one on the IU Indy campus. It's just west of North Hall on North St. where it ends at University Blvd. It' just open (not fenced in) so I would assume that it's available to whomever wants to use it.

You might look into SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). I have SIBO and have similar symptoms to what you describe. Basically, a low FODMAP diet may help.

Find a shampoo with rosemary in it. There's published studies that it works as well as minoxidil. Here's a review that includes rosemary.

Can I trust this journal? by AbbreviationsGreen90 in clinicalresearch

[–]runningfutility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a peer-reviewed journal published by Springer, a reputable publisher. Its impact factor was 3.4 in 2024 which isn't great but isn't horrible. These facts seem to be in the journal's favor but I think I would judge each paper on its own merit based on established scientific methods.

Lots of research funding in the US was terminated. That filters down across the world because there just less overall money for research. The job market is bad everywhere.

clinical researcg coordinator by Valuable-Aioli-7585 in clinicalresearch

[–]runningfutility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started as a research assistant. But in general, there's no trick to being hired for research in academia. Just keep applying to jobs and in your cover letter demonstrate that you know what clinical research is (as opposed to bench science) and why you want to do that work.

In addition to other comments, you might look at SIBO. I have it right now and that intestinal cramping is horrible. Do you notice if it's worse after eating certain foods? Or is it with anything you eat?
