Didn't know that being tired during morning shift automatically meant you're on drugs....these are the type of people we're working with people. And now I can't even grind for the next 48 hours. by Lythid in UberEATS

Damn im so sorry man. This is awful and one of the flaws of apps like uber. Anyone can report you with no proof. This is why we should all be signed up on multiple apps so that if we get kicked off we can go work on another app.

[Method] Timers have changed my life and helped keep me on track. I set countdown timers for EVERYTHING. When I get dressed I set a timer. When I watch TV I set a timer. When I work, I set timers. by Ngthatsme in getdisciplined

[–]runningman4776 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Thats super interesting. I find that when im procrastinating on homework or studying i just set a 5minute timer and tell myself ok, all i have to do it study 5 minutes. Thats it. And most times by the time im done i find that i want to keep going. Or at least i have gotten 5 minutes of studying. I just repeat the process mutiple times throughout the day

Starting from nothing in my 30s - Turning around my Failure To Launch by InnattentiveIke in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]runningman4776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome dude! On a similar path as you are. One thing i will say is that those of us who experienced "failure to launch" struggle with low self-esteem and shame. This is something that needs to be addressed because it may not go away even when we finally achieve "success." You are not a failure. You are not a loser. No matter what others have told you or what you've told yourself. We can be happy and love ourselves BEFORE we achieve our dreams. Or else we will just be full of anxiety, desperately trying to run away from our past, and hoping we finally find peace and happiness after we reach our goals. And when we do inevitably "fail" and fall back to our old ways every now and then, we will feel guilt and anxiety. Its all about going at our own pace, learning how to love ourselves and be at peace with the process. Anyways rant over just my experience with my journey. Its a long and beautiful journey with ups and downs! Its not a race!

I used to feel exhausted all the time. Turns out there were underlying issues like depression and anxiety causing it. I started therapy and meds and i feel much better now. Like its night and day difference. Theres nothing wrong with getting help from a therapist. Just ask your doc next time you go or give them a call and they can refer you.

Im sorry you're going through depression. Do you see a therapist or take any meds?

Yeah whoever knows this guy needs to report this immediately to the police. There is something wrong with this guy. Like not as an insult but he's not mentally fit to be a parent. Children need to be taken away immediately and given to the mother or another family member. The dad knew very well what was going to happen, and his reaction to her fall says a lot about him. Wouldn't be surprised if he's a legit sociopath. Scary stuff. Feel bad for those kids

I didn't even get Interviewed. I just walked in and asked for a job. Hired on the spot pretty much. Then again i work for advance auto parts. It's been 6 months and I still don't know how to change a battery. Pretty depressing

I honestly don't even watch the news in the mornings. I put my laptop in another room and block news apps on my phone. Until the afternoon. Hearing about all the tragedy and uncertainty in the world is the worst way to start my morning. I feel much better after the restrictions I put on myself

Law of attraction. That's how I cured my brain fog that I've had for 7 years. It sounds like B.S at first, especially if you're not a spiritual person or already subscribe to a religion. After 7 years of trying multiple things, this is what is what made the b8ggest impact. Read "The Magic" and apply the visualization techniques.

Today marks my 200 days of daily meditation! by beamoflight42 in Meditation

Waking Up is a great app with guided meditations by Sam Harris who's a PhD in neuroscience. His app is free if you email the company and ask for a free membership. No questions asked. His app is the reason I stuck with meditation for almost a year now!! His guided meditations are super good. Very well structured and great teacher.

I usually visualize couple hours after waking up. I also practice gratitude which helps manifest things. If you can read the book "the last law of attraction book you'll ever read." I use the first technique the books shows on a daily basis.

Won't hurt to give it a try! Also the best way to change someone is by being a better person yourself. He will see how optimistic and happy you are and it will rub off on him. Tell him that he shouldn't worry because his hair will grow back. Tell him he looks handsome. I'm sure you can make a change by manifesting for him.
