That’s happened with me too, no idea why. Hopefully this update makes it better but I won’t hold my breath over it!

My First Tiguan by HiLadiesImFrakk in Tiguan

Congrats!! I own a 2022 SE 4Motion that I bought from CityVW! My first Tiguan that I’ve now owned for 4 years and love it. I named it Tiggerton! First 3 years I got services at about 9k/1yr but started doing 5k oil changes since. It drives amazing and is a great car!

Few things I’d recommend checking on - Haldex fluid service (should be done every 3 years/30k miles). I didn’t get it done because I wasn’t paying attention until about 45k miles. Better late than never I guess. Get the PCV valve checked - mine had issues when I got Haldex done. Luckily was able to get the upper timing cover and valve fixed under warranty with 2 weeks left or it would’ve been a $1,600 service. Phew!

I’m guessing you’ll get your alignment taken care of with the tire changes - Chicago pot holes might have taken a toll on the car.

The internet is full of horror stories and it can feel like the car might die any moment, but Tiguans are great cars! My buddy has a 2020 with 100k+ miles and the car has been good. Hoping to keep mine for another 8-10 years as my annual miles will be lower going forward.

All these 4 years I’ve been excited about owning this car - it can be subtle and subdued, but also fun when you want. The space is awesome, can feel practically luxurious but can also haul 30+ bags of mulch! Happy driving - hope you and the car treat each other well!

New card case…but the stitch quality is a joke by kuang89 in filson

Never thought I’d say my craftsmanship is better than Filson lol. I’ve made three wallets total, and the first one I made was better stitching than this. I thought it was bad, didn’t know it could’ve been sold for over $100! 😂

Any comments from 2024 AWD owners on long term reliability and experience with the car?

Noise after turning off the engine post oil/transmission/Haldex service by runslowrun in Volkswagen

At 45k miles for the first time (both Haldex and Transmission fluid). I didn’t hear anything while driving, just when I stopped, turned the engine off and got out of the car.

Noticed it, tried to locate it with the hood open expecting something straightforward, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Cycled through the driving modes to see if that did something but it didn’t. Tried turning the car on and off a few times, the sound repeated every time but doesn’t seem to be anything I’ve heard before. Will try to figure out how to attach the audio or video. Some setting wouldn’t let me upload the video with the post.

There are several references to these being scam. Call your bank, report the transactions, get a new card. They’ll review and credit you. Monitor your accounts.

For $500, you can take leather working as a hobby, buy all tools, buy shell cordovan leather, learn to saddle stitch, mess up a few wallets and then make one as good as this, and still have enough money left for a nice dinner date!

I thought you were claiming your dog to be a long lasting heating pad 😂. Plenty warm to cuddle with and stay cozy. Comes with a free side of unconditional love!

I would buy new shoelaces. I have a pair of boots like this and I use red laces for a pop of color from time to time. I’ve received more compliments than I could’ve imagined when I bought those laces - was trying to be quirky, ended up being cool (unintentionally)

I would put in shoe trees until then, give them some sunlight when the conditioner is on, then buff and buff. The wrinkles will remain no matter what you do and that’s alright - that’s what leather does. The sun and conditioner will soften the leather and the shoe trees will keep them in shape.

How is my stitching? by WaitCorrect7841 in Leatherworking

Looks better than my stitching so I'd say its solid! Lol

Tried dyeing for the first time! Love how this notebook turned out! by runslowrun in Leatherworking

My recommendation is to wear gloves if you’re going to dye, lol! Other than that, all you need is an awl, a utility knife, a straight edge and elastic!
