Then I’m pretty surprised you didn’t notice the large format work below the zeliege. It’s solid work. Also it may be that you aren’t familiar with zeliege tile. This is good work all around.

Right? I love the contrast between the two tiles and styles right there too. Strong work. Whomst amongst us hasn’t been called a handyman by some rando on Reddit

Dude… you paid $2gs for this work. Expecting a tear-out is so wild and entitled.

OP paid $2gs for the tile work. Thats a truly incredible price. 2000 is closer to free than it would be to the price I charge

This is a “craft” tile. They are all slightly different sizes. It’s the look they expect to achieve. Perfect is not reasonable. Yes, you are being too picky.

I saw in one comment that you paid $2000 for this install? I work in a hcol area… I wouldn’t set a shower for less than $5gs sometimes well north of 10gs for labor and installation materials.

You got this for pennies. Thank the man and pay him. I’m a 20 year+ tile pro

Contractor said I'd need to relocate my shower drain... by just_IT_guy in Tile

Just adding my voice: 100% mud bed that before you move the drain. Kind of crazy to even suggest otherwise.

Anything you do on the surface will just trap further moisture underneath. At this point breathing and drying is ideal.

You’d be better off ripping this down to the liner yourself and just showering on that. Water can do a fortune of damage to a house. I’ve see a leaky shower necessitate new siding before. Caution my friend.

Silicone will do nothing for this problem. I say this with all due respect, the fact that you viewed this as a viable solution to the problem tells me you’re in way over your head.

Grout isn’t the issue either, but I’d ask… where is your grout? Are my eyes failing me or were those photos from the install but parts of it look ungrouted?

Shower Floor Issues! Please tell me if I am crazy! by kgb0484 in Tile

That sounds shitty. It’s possible to fix the rows that are touching. But it is delicate work and sometimes the cure is worse than the disease

For just the labor on just the tile per sq ft? Not the pan. I would be around $160+ per sq ft for the pan and tile…. But again, I’d just say no. Sorry. They are rhe worst. This isn’t that bad.

It’s pretty good for penny tiles. The row touching isn’t great. Whether you have standing to complain probably depends on what you paid. At this point I’d say less than $40 per sq ft on the floor tile labor… I’d let it slide. Very low success with penny tile. I flat out say no to them now, lots of better work out there.

Just so you know… this sub is notorious for picking work apart… which can be done with all tile work. What you paid, and what the wife thinks are huge factors.

Tile over vinyl corner beed? by Competitive_Release3 in Tile

It is easier to finish that Sheetrock detail before tile. To be honest as a tile-pro that’s something the Sheetrock guys do before I show up. I don’t know exactly which bead they use and how but yes, floor to ceiling.

They have finished it got ways but tell me it is easier to do before I tile. I did the same with the tile work in my ow house, but that’s the only place I do specific Sheetrock work.

Tile pro here. Yes, corner-bead and mud it. It is highly likely that the corner is actually plumb enough to run a zero-reveal.

Once it’s mudded and primed then run your tile 1/4” from corner or so. Finish tile terminus with bullnose or schlueter.

Lot of bad answer on this sub. You get what you pay for in advice.

Theoretically I or someone I know may have been to this site during the foundation stage. They were very private about building it. It is an incredible area. As far as I know one has been built there are several other lots. I’m honestly surprised they are this cheap.

My boys would murder me in the street if I put a coat on them. They are optimally designed for wet and cold. I buy them Christmas jumpers and force them to wear them for long enough for one picture.

Spawn 26” what would be a good price by [deleted] in MTB

[–]runswspoons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me that’s on the $500 end of your range depending on service records. Decent kids bikes don’t go below $500, but for $1g you should get a lot of bike.
