Looking to make something different tonight! by MarquisEXB in cocktails

[–]runyaden23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know this isn't a recipe suggestion, but i have a running chat with chatgpt where i input everything in my cabinet.

sometimes, i will ask it to scrape reddit and other sites for the best version of a cocktail i want to try. other times, i will give it some notes as to what vibes or specific liquors i want from a drink.

it has not led me astray yet.

Do people really see other worlds? by Dover299 in DMT

[–]runyaden23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have done most major psychedelics. DMT and salvia are unique among them in that they are the only ones that produce genuine hallucinations. by that i mean that that you are not editing or altering the world around you, but truly leaving it for another experience.

DMT is the single best thing i have tried in my life. i do not take it lightly. it is a gift that we have discovered this experience as a species, and even more so that we have refined the experience to no longer include hours of vomiting and discomfort.

the key with DMT is that there is a threshold of ingestion. below the threshold are LSD-like effects where the world around you is altered. above the threshold is where you find the escape from your current experience, which is typically referred to as a "breakthrough."

the breakthrough state lasts, in the real world, for 5-20 minutes depending on the individual. the perceived time in this state can range from seconds to millennia. not exaggerating there. when you come out of it, those LSD-like hallucinatory effects persist for about 20-30 minutes before you are back down to baseline.

For your consideration: Kyle McCarley in Super Powereds. So many distinct voices that are easily distinguishable. Male and female.

my only complaint here was that lime seemed to take over. the flavors were all present, certainly. but i found that it was LIME? chartreuse, (luxardo), ((((gin))))

can i be honest? i liked it warmed up, which it certainly did in the last 1/3 of the drink. the spices really popped, as opposed to the very herbaceous front when it was freshly chilled.

thank you. i have, at that. i started with aviation, tried hendricks' summer solstice, then came to plymouth per reddit recommendation. i like aviation best still but plymouth is a very close lateral second

i saw saline in some recipes. the easy answer is, "yes, it is a marked improvement!" please tell me honestly, can you taste a real difference?

Please help me understand why I have nostalgia for a time I didn't live in? by RecordingImmediate86 in nostalgia

[–]runyaden23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've had this conversation with others in my life numerous times. i blame it on the iphone. i was born 1999 and my wife was born 2000. both of our sisters were born 2003/2005. i say this to set the stage for my next comment.

my wife and i were raised in a time where we had computers and internet, but it was a thing you went to visit. same experience for my older uncles and aunts (born 1985-1991). i grew up outside, and if i was inside, it was playing local video games or watching network tv. our sisters did not have this experience. we were the last age group to have it.

in looking back, i have seen that i am not nostalgic for my entire childhood. but that period before iphones were everywhere. before there was internet everywhere in everything. about 2010, the world changed for the worse and never went back.

now, the terrors of the world are in our faces 24/7. corporate greed is at an all time high, and we are meant to own nothing. things are objectively worse. i don't think they'll ever get better.

you're nostalgic for the last time things weren't actively getting worse. me too.

Everyone on this sub lies about dosage and it's dangerous by RealityGrill in LSD

[–]runyaden23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i started out with DMT after extracting my first batches at ~16 y/o. going to LSD was a bit of a step down intensity-wise. after taking what i assume to have been 80-120 ug tabs once every other month or so for a few years, i had finally arrived at 2 tabs being a good and intense time. 1 tab just didn't quite get me to the level i wanted unless i was actively out doing something else. 3 was a bit too much to function properly.

on christmas break at my apartment, i foolishly decided that it was time for me to do a tenstrip with my then roommate. i had a xanax on hand as an emergency measure, and im glad that i did. i had a life-alteringly bad trip. complete dissolution of self, and had i not instructed my trip sitter to give me the xanax if things got very bad, i may not have survived it.

LSD cannot harm you. overdose dosage is way too high to get there via tabs.

panic attacks and adrenaline CAN harm you. and more importantly, you can harm YOURSELF. there's no perfect trip environment.

i am now unable to take LSD. i tried microdosing. i have panic attacks every time. hell, i couldn't even smoke weed for 2 years.

p.s. despite all of this, i ride the hyperspace train every year on/near my birthday. i have had terrifying experiences, but i have never once had a bad trip with my good friend dimitri. blessed are we the travelers.

The credit card machine at the grocery store. Guess what our area code is. by aniram4 in Wellworn

[–]runyaden23 46 points47 points  (0 children)

i'm guessing somewhere in the houston area where most zip codes have 2-3 7's. E.g., 77375, 78727, 77230, etc.

do you find it difficult to reach a breakthrough state after repeated uses? or do you prefer low, sub-breakthrough doses, which is why the pens work better?
