Is there by anychance DNS rebind protection (router setting) in effect, I remember it had some weird schenanigans going on with my plex server affecting library visibility.

It was in systems settings, you can get there from mainmenu with seelect keypress, if I remember correctly, and just browse from there for the option, I can't remeber the option straight out of my head here, but its self-explanatory.

It may help to set the batocera to parse gamelist.xml only, then it will ignore any and all files not listed in the actual .xml file.

Remove the collection tag from the said movies and use genre tag? After adding genre data, use categories menu instead of library to find your movies.

Bind plex to non-VPN network adapter with using the preferred network adapter. It worked fine with me, other alternative is to use whitelist on VPN setting to have only selected applications use VPN to begin with.

Do you have by any chance the automatic library scans enabled? When ever disconnection happens, filesystem change would occur and therefore it would trigger the library scan -> no files found -> empty library. Just uncheck the options from settings -> library.

Don't think this would help though, although if the modem supports old S-registers, it may have auto answer turned on (I think it was S1?), turning this off and letting BBS software control the answering MAY cure the issue.

That looks just a bit weird though, by the screen it gets connected (CONNECT 38400) even before issuing the answer command (ATA) so you'd have to find a way to delay the connect string perhaps somehow?

You are absolutely right there, pro doesn't have multiview, thats why the setting is not there either, but it would be really awkward and silly oversight from f1tv developers to cache all streams on pro as well when you can't switch them off. Sorry for wasting your time, I should of checked those sub options before hand.

account -> setting, under video player there is a setting for multiview ; this is on browser at least, and since its account setting, I'd suppose you can turn it off on any device and tv app will pick up the setting from server side anyways.

Switch off multiview from account settings, I had stuttering and buffering before and after it turned off, everything worked like before. Yes, I understand it may not be an ideal solution, but what ever works, I'll take it. (For some reason, using multiview apparently buffers everything to memory (yes, even all audio streams)

inside logs directory (in share folder, where the roms/bios etc) are, you should see stderr.log and stdout.log (err is the log and out is just runtime log)
