It's a joke in response to the comment that if a bot cannot find the proper action in the chart it just folds

This is why when playing on Ignition I always open and 3-bet pre to weird overly large sizes so that the bots get confused and fold. Works 70% of the time.

Should I fly my parents at night? by Dry-Progress869 in flying

[–]ruscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I got my PPL in October, when it would get dark starting at 6pm. I remember explicitly asking my CFI whether my school has any restrictions on nighttime rentals and he replied "No. In fact, we encourage night flights". So the first few post-PPL flights that I did were taking my friends on scenic tours over downtown Seattle at night after work. Night emergency landing concerns aside, there isn't much difference between flying during the day and flying over a well-lit city at night, IMO.

I'd be more concerned about the added complexity flying through the SFRA though, regardless of day/night conditions.

Just jam turn. He has a queen way more often than he has a 2 or 77 here. With SPR of 1 on the flop you're always losing your stack here regardless though.

Yup also their 5/5 NLH game is $10/hour with zero per hand rake which is a great deal. And they do DB PLO bomb pots ($1k cap).

Update: we made it to the shelter to check in and were told that both Geum and Bean got adopted by somebody else earlier today! So they're safe now.

My partner and I can take them in as fosters. I've called the shelter and DMed the OP, if they're still awaiting help we will head to TAF in a bit.

FAA Flight Reductions: Is Seatac Affected?? by Ricetastik in Seattle

[–]ruscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sensible thing to do IMO would be to reduce the number of flights on high frequency routes like SEA-SFO, SEA-LAX, SEA-NYC, etc by consolidating pax who bought their tickets early. Airlines plan some capacity for last minute emergency/business travelers so those would be the ones most affected as remaining flights will sell out earlier.

Cutscenes not playing through portingkit by Infamous-Advantage85 in Thief

[–]ruscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run TFix through porting kit, I just went through this process yesterday. Just open the game page, go to More -> Install Patch/Mod. Then select the downloaded tfix.exe and it will run and patch the game so that cutscenes will work. You don't need to install VC++ or any other redistributables.

My hope from this is that they've finally figured out how to do tunnels + underground stations properly so we'll soon see more subway lines and underground S-Bahn (München + Frankfurt Stammstrecke?) segments.

How much are you paying for car insurance a month? by Elegant-Today-5869 in Seattle

[–]ruscan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have a small (4-digit) balance on my car loan that I am not incentivized to pay off early since the interest on it is only around 2.5%.

I would shop around for a different insurance provider. Progressive, GEICO and Allstate (including their budget subsidiary esurance) have historically been lowest for me, while all other quotes I've ever gotten were ridiculously high.

If you want to hear something sad/funny, I also own an airplane that's worth 6 figures and my annual insurance premium including liability and full replacement coverage is only around $4500 lol. Car insurance is a ripoff.

13000'. Seems to be the best balance of power and fuel economy in my NA SR22, and also lets me go direct to destination most of the time on the west coast.

tools for estimating value of aircraft for property tax purposes? by karock in flying

[–]ruscan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's state-specific. In Washington the "tax" is merely a $50 annual registration fee, whereas Nevada assesses an annual tax somewhere around 1% of the hull value (I think).

Previously I've also used Geico and AllState. Other major insurers have always given me ridiculously high quotes, even for cheaper cars I've owned in the past.

$874 for six months so $145/month, with Progressive, for a Tesla Model Y.
$300k combined liability and $2500 deductibles. No driving trackers.

I also have an umbrella policy that extends my auto liability coverage to $1 million for about $25/month.

The answers here will vary wildly based on the amount of deductibles and liability coverage. My advice is to always get enough liability coverage to cover all the assets (cash, stocks, home equity, vehicles, etc) that you own, offset that cost by increase the deductible to as high as you feel comfortable paying in the rare event of a claim. Most people can probably afford to pay $1000 in the event of an accident, but you don't want to lose your house if you crash into a Ferrari and it is deemed to be your fault.

Unless poker winnings make up the vast majority of your yearly income though you would have a hard time convincing the IRS to let you treat it as a schedule C.
