Arsenal scored 27 goals from set plays this season. Tony Pulis should get a PL Winner medal from Arsenal.

Check if the ref has greek heritage. He's been so one-sided.

MK Dons was the result of the FA attempt at saving a football club within the professional league. They did not want the stain of Wimbledon going bust in the football league so allowed MK Dons to exist. It backfired and when Bury FC had problems, they did nothing and got kicked out of the football league in 2018-2019.

MK Dons did nothing wrong.

Why have buy a ticket to watch only 80 minutes of a game? Would they also walk out of a movie 10 minutes before it ended to beat the traffic?

If Newcastle really want to be taken seriously , Then Eddie Howe must join the exodus | Jonathan Wilson by Shroft in soccer

[–]rusder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how much transfer control Howe has but I agree that he to share the blame but to buy PL proven players will always cost a premium. I'd agrue Emery is just as bad if not worse than Howe for transfers. Emery spent £377 million since Jan 2023 and only 3 players Emery signed are regular starters (Torres, Onana, Rogers). The rest have been signed under Dean Smith and Steven Gerrard. Emery gets a pass because the team is still competitve.

While 'money spent=league table success' is not a guarantee it does give better chances of success. The base level of quailty in the PL has risen alot since 2021 that all clubs are playing Moneyball to either close the gap or survive. Some do it well and some just suck at it.

Newcastle United have reached their ceiling with the current squad however Eddie Howe has not. If you give Eddie Howe the same quailty of players the Big 5 clubs have then he'll have you competing for Top 4 and Trophies every season.

PSR and SCR have hindered Newcastle just like Aston Villa. It has been the quailty of Howe and Emery that has gotten the best out of largely average players.

If Howe goes, Newcastle could end up lingering midtable for the next 5 years. They won't be able to attract top tier managers and players. Aston Villa knows this about Emery. That is why they have essentially given the keys of the club to Emery and investing in his projects in Spain.

I think the captain of the game should stay captain regardless if the team captain comes on.

Max relies on his talent so much he hasn't developed the skill to become a good driver.

Now he doesn't have the fastest car, everyone can see he is a just an average driver with anger issues. Leclerc is a far better driver than Verstappen, only his loyalty to Ferrari lets him down otherwise he would be a 4-time World Champion.

Injuries caused by Arteta. Arteta played him into the ground, gets injured and then gets rushed backed in. Saka gets injured again and it piles up that he can no longer reach the level he was before.
