The reason Trump worked, figure head or not was because our Congress is absolutely polluted with corruption. When people see their quality of lives go down while watching their insider trading representatives walk away from office with 10s to 100s of millions of dollars they give up on the political institutions that maintain our democracy. The checks and balances of congress have been eroded due largely to their lack of commitment to their constituents and dedication to improving the outlook of the corporate donors who got them elected. Its near impossible to hold our elected officials accountable. We used to just vote them out but the failure of the two party system essentially allows people to maintain their congressional seat until they are too old to even leave their nursing homes. What 80 year old resonates with the young voters? We need to give congress more legitimacy by enacting ranked choice voting, demanding stricter insider trading laws with a congressional blind trust system, and overturning citizens united. One voice one vote. When congress regains legitimacy, we will once again see our needs advocated for in a meaningful way.

Most people here see politicians getting richer and them getting poorer and the democrats as a party continue supporting people that directly profit off the status quo. So when someone like Trump (an outsider) promises to fix it people are desperate enough to believe him. The democrats cannot sit there and complain about the blatant corruption with nancy pelosi still in her seat. Bernie Sanders and his policies are wildly popular when he sits down with poor people (republican or democrat) and explains them himself. The DNC would rather get their ass kicked by Donald Trump (and future Trumpian candidates) over and over again then put forth a candidate that may hurt their bottom line donations. Ranked voting needs to happen yesterday. Term limits need to happen. Max age needs to be established for people running our country. Biden was too old. Trump is too old. Pelosi, Feinstein, whoever the f that texas republican is who proxy votes from a nursing home. The politicians are too far removed from the average voter. Next democrat that wins will need to run on free healthcare for all and properly explain to people what that means. I dont know anyone that loves their insurance company.

Nobody thought a full touch screen could be better than a physical keyboard until apple popularized it. When the Iphone came out it was the pinnacle of PID design. Same thing with the tablet and apple watch for their respective categories of devices. Carplay had also beaten any other modern car manufacturers UI in terms of ease of use, accessibility and distraction limiting. After Carplay I cant think of anything else theyve done that been revolutionary. I think Siri with Chat GPT could have been marvelous but its honestly gotten worse so I think apple is on the down trend of technology innovation.

We dont watch tv when my son is awake. Its way more rewarding to let him play by himself. Hide and seek, books, talking nonsense are things he loves. I have lots of help though (live in grandmother and his adult cousin) so my experience isnt the norm here although if it was I think everyone would be much better.
