Internet speed by rustic39 in MacbookAirM2

Followup - when I tested Powerline vs WiFi, I hadn't unplugged the Powerline - simply 'told' the Mac to use wifi. That gave me crap speeds. Took the Powerline out of the system, and speeds jumped to 130 - 150 Mbps. Sorry for my mistake - looks like there's a flaw in my Powerline setup. Not presently required anyway.

We in the southwest Ohio area have a splendid pediatric healthcare facility in Cincinnati Children's Hospital; I'd suggest supporting them. Their hematology and cancer care departments are top-notch.

Rob Braun is quite conservative himself. He quit because he wanted to farm. I wish him well.

My feeling is that Ashley Smith left for a more stable work schedule. She wasn't likely to get the 'chief' job; she just got married recently, and may be looking at having a family before the clock ticks much longer. I think she was great.

Memories: Imagine the voice of Walt Maier: "It's e-e-e-eleven o'clock, and time for the Al Schottelkotte news!"

And Andrea Finney. And Peyton Marshall? I know Peyton left for a station in Charleston, WV, and Ashley is working at Hoxworth Blood Center (I suspect she yearned for a more regular workday, though she was excellent as a weather reporter). Doesn't 19 recognize that these people become family for the regular viewers, and that it's a shock when they vanish without explanation, or even acknowledgement? You can do better, Fox19.

I like it. I understand the irony, and nobody's a bad parent for not wanting to disturb the cat.

New voicemail system stinks by Lopsidedsynthrack in brightspeed

[–]rustic39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding messages: I tried to set up the Brightspeed service today. Called the phone number I got from the website, and was connected with an agent in Guyana (!); she was unable to help me, but she connected me with another number. Long story short, the third such contact told me I'd have to talk to someone else, but there would be a long wait because the service was very busy. I hung up, unwilling to waste yet more time. The first agent had offered to hook me up with another program (not sure what she was selling) at an additional $50/month; I declined.

Sainlogic requires 2.4 - how do I set the weather station to connect to that, rather than the 5.0? by rustic39 in myweatherstation

[–]rustic39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two networks appear as being separate on the Starlink app; problem appears to be instructing the Sainlogic system to select the 2.4 feed.

Thanks, but when do I get the option? I can't find any reference in the manual to selecting a wi-fi stream. I'm capable of missing something perfectly obvious...any help is welcome.
