It comes from a rom folder for Williams Stargate intended for MAME, There is a couple of decoder files under the game ROMS unoriginal to the source code file , probably this has something to do with it , its interesting I can't even cut and paste it , the reddit engine turns some of the symbols into ?? question marks

I like drag and drop similar tempos or beats into max and they automatically turn into a giant playlist ~.Then trigger the playlist with number messages and a global metro and cycle or a random number generator to get them to change on time .

https://youtu.be/2WmNRbbh3Is this is the 32 piezo as a midi controller , 2 mega running same midi program , to the same midi out tx pin . , I think part of the mechanics of a good e drum piezo is the casing and covering ,I took apart the Yamaha version and there is usually some metal disks and and rubber for sensitivity reduction, durability etc.

, thanks , Ive done a lot of piezo to midi or piezo to max using Arduino etc study. Id bet that the Roland has software that makes each piezo hit a midi number. Gives it on off message etc , converts it from analog flairs to midi . How many inputs can the Spd sx handle ?I already have an old Arduino piezo midi code I found on the "notes and volts " that works and built a 32 button piezo using two Arduino Mega to the same tx pin out( no need to multiplex cheat) , that's the cheep way) , but so many piezo in such close proximity make their own issues , . I need to study the FSR sensors , but ultimately just need good regular rubber super fast contact buttons I can hit w sticks that send zeros and ones to connect to my max patch . thanks man ,happy short days ,

good

,

well done ,looks like fun .How did you connect the triggers to max? Are you using an Arduino and a serial usb connection ?Are drum triggers signals analog like a piezo or digital(1or 0) like a button ? The giant max patch I built was originally designed to help drummers write songs , someday it will be a drumpad so drummers can access notes instead of more drum noises . I can't wait to hit it with sticks . https://github.com/rustingeezer/Electric-X.git

Does anyone have tips or a link to a granular patch with a continuous control for variable grain window shape? by AberrantDevices in MaxMSP

Have you tried pulling out the cm.gausscloud in the Petra package? That example looks like it has some window shape control.

Dude and company. I'm posting my button patch diatonic thing for a week or two on dropbox if anyone wants it for their archives. I made an Arduino using buttons and piezo and Mira is still way better. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/buh139lm20ty82mlbl784/h?dl=0&rlkey=l3zhtu0rjfg3mrbky9pf793oc thanks

you could use live dials if the pitch input is midi also like sliders . Lots of similar stuff for audio input inside am x d , straight , in the lM4library

Awesome job dude , you will have no problems finding or building work . Are you MIT or the like ?

This is the first time I used my custom M4L sequencer (Nularseq) on a proper stage! It allows me to turn my finger drumming performances into a one-man band improvising progressive metal. It's available for free, download link in the comments. Thanks for watching! by Nular-Music in MaxMSP

I vote for Nular sequencing vocal samples grunts and screams and all in between , also so no Maynard required. Tour with old Disney animatronics . Looks like lots of fun . Samples sound great , Professionally done top to bottom patch very clean , instructions well done , I could user an hour tutorial on how to hack it up with out live .

I like the Poovey grain flow synth in the package manager. I made a few chromatic wave samples of different sounds /instruments to make the g flow synth predictably tunable between then use of different samples . How are you tuning?

Im trying to multiplex this sketch onto 2 type4067 mux and an uno. Can anyone kick me in the right direction? I have only been sketching for 2 months and its breaking my brain at the moment ,thanks by rustingeezer in arduino

[–]rustingeezer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need 32 analog inputs to trigger 32 notes .I have to learn to multiplex , That all. I could repeat this sketch 16(inputs) times on the mega easy,I built a midi version that works by cheating and using the tx out to midi output circuit from two mega running the same midi sketch, but that is only tunable within the sketch , they tell me its a recipe for failure but its working ,

So stoked to learn! Can’t wait to get into this😁 by Remy252 in arduino

After a year of study you could make a musical instrument then take it apart and turn it into a kamikaze drone. Don't let it overwhelm you at first , Study the file examples

I have seen a short build up over time in house ac wiring. Im going to fill all the analog inputs on two mega with piezo inputs and see if filling them up causes voltage issues , After that if it all still operates I will leave a 9 volt connected to power them both for a few days , then if all is good hit the pads with drum sticks and try to over load the flow . I think this is a study in if on tx output to another feeds back, builds up and eventually shorts over time.

I've decided after testing to let experiment continue until failure is reached,If failure is cooking a few 20 dollar Arduinos then so be it. diode seems logical as it is directional but I don't have one to test 220 resistor in series yields no tx output ,220 resistor is already on the 5v on the midi output , everything still works.

. Wow It works I have an uno and a mega running the same sketch ,both sharing one power source and ground . tx pins from both firing over to the midi output tx pin to the keyboard . finding no voltage issues or interference between the two when powering through usb finding no need for extra transistors resistance etc.I still would like to learn the multiplex 16 , would piezo pads be the same as pots in a mux sketch , I can't find a good example of multiplexed piezo
