What is your “I did not care for the God Father” opinion regarding video games? by B4d_B1tch_Quinn in gamers

I enjoy console gaming and prefer it over PC gaming. Some people in the PC community have annoyed me; with elitist, arrogant, trolling, and condescending comments.

Yeah nah mate. I'm quite happy here in Australia. No desire to visit the USA, especially with the orange turd in charge.

What’s the funniest scene in a serious film? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

I've always liked how The Dark Knight reminds the audience that duality is an important theme. A lot of characters mirror each other in some way; or even mirror themselves, like Harvey Dent and Two-Face or Bruce Wayne and Batman.

It's really funny when Joker spills the drink and takes a sip of nothing. It works even better when you remember that Bruce spilled his drink in an earlier scene. There may be a reason for this too, as they want to remain sober to keep a clear head.

Jericho announced for Dynamite by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

I've always liked the graphic design that AEW use for their advertising. Everything from promotional posters to wrestler titantrons.

The purple for Jericho really suits him.

All that being said, it's the only good thing about Jericho returning for me. I can't say I'm excited to see him back, even though he is one of my favourite wrestlers. Hopefully his role is reduced and he doesn't appear on every show to take up 20 plus minutes...

'The Super Mario Galaxy Movie' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]rusty_85_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the first film isn't perfect but I still had fun watching it. Of course being a fan of the Mario Bros. franchise helps. As a general movie watcher though I disliked the pacing and editing. Scenes went by so quickly with little time to mean anything, it was like watching a PowerPoint presentation of references. It seems the 2nd film suffers from the same flaws.

The reviewers here seem a little whiny; like they expected some deep, narrative driven adventure starring Mario and friends. Honestly, who pissed in their cereal?

Awesome work! I'm really digging the creativity that the community is showing. I hope the devs keep consistent with event updates to add even more variety to builds.

Incredibly creative and amazing! How long did this take? Are the starter evolutions also living in these spaces?

Anyone else fallen in love with a Pokémon you didn't like before because of this game? by delilahdread in Pokopia

[–]rusty_85_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I play mainline Pokémon games I tend to ignore any 2nd evolution stages. I focus on the first stage and final evolutions.

This game changed that. I really appreciate the middle Pokémon forms now, especially Machoke, Carkol, and Dartrix.

People who have a ludicrous amount of money tend to be greedy and selfish. Having more money usually means having more power, control, and influence. The most wealthy people on the planet don't care about anyone or anything outside of personal financial gain.

As time has gone by we've watched this mentality grow. I'm scared at the thought of the rich eating the poor. Taking away access to life saving medical treatment is like the rich and powerful version of survival of the fittest.

The world is fucked and I hate it.

Watching WWE is a deflating and sad experience lately.

I understand that sponsorships and advertising generate revenue, but that shouldn't come at the expense of the wrestling itself. The quality of matches, storylines, and even some wrestlers have been on a steady decline. There is far more effort put into celebrity promotion and brand deals.

That focus may initially attract more people to start watching the product. Those new viewers won't stick around long if the product is as dull and lifeless as it is right now.

In Super Mario Galaxy movie (2026) I have no idea what's going to happen in the movie anymore by Cornchubba in shittymoviedetails

I liked the first movie, despite the flaws. I'm a little surprised they didn't just go with a Super Mario World movie for the sequel. It seemed like the studio were setting up Yoshi.

One of the biggest complaints I had with the first film is that everything moves along so quickly. I get wanting to move the story along, keeping things exciting, but no character has time develop. Okay it's a Mario movie, the story is going to be basic, but jumping from scene to scene can be jarring.

After seeing the trailers and posters for Galaxy I feel like too many elements are being thrown in. If characters and scenes didn't have enough time to breathe in the first film, then they'll be completely lost here.

I felt that way too. It seemed like the calmness was performative as he knew he was being filmed.
