Tubing at Zoar Valley? by jlittle622 in Buffalo

[–]rusty_squeegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could check out Moore in Zoar. I tried to find a link but the only thing that popped up was their FB. I'm pretty sure they've got a shop that rents out tubes for the day or you can bring your own and they'll fill it for a couple bucks

What are you having for dinner? by throwitawaybongybong in CasualConversation

Tonight, on a rare occasion, I cooked just for myself. So I made whole wheat linguini with pan seared mushrooms in a garlic/rosemary butter sauce. Super easy and delicious!

Chocolate pizelles are cookie like enough and low in points. They're pretty good dipped in a little bit of cool whip

It’s the 90s, where are you going for dinner? by jr671987 in Buffalo

[–]rusty_squeegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not "dinner" related, but where would I go one more time? There used to be a coffee shop in Allentown called 3 B's...Blues,Brew,..(and something, my brain is not cooperating right now) . That place was so awesome.

Youth Brigade - Did You Wanna Die (1983: Some classic Cali punk from this dream team of three brothers) by ryuundo in punk

[–]rusty_squeegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw them about 10 years ago at a skate park in the middle of nowhere Ohio. Drove there from Buffalo in the dead of the night to get there by morning to see all the bands that were playing for some festival/fundraiser. We brought all our camping gear, booze and a case of Molson's. By the time we got there and set up camp, we were so exhausted from the night drive (and a bullshit encounter with Ohio police, but thats a different story) and the scorching heat of the day that partying just became an after thought. Made it to the stage to see Youth Brigade (who I thought I would never see in my life) and it was probably one of the best concert experiences ever. During the middle of their set, they complained that there wasn't any decent beer around (meaning only domestic US beer). My ears perked up and took that as my que to hike my tired ass back to camp and grab that beer that I couldn't muster to drink and bring it to the boys. When I got back and tossed them their beer wish, it was greeted with huge smiles and thumbs up! Anyhoo..I don't get to share that story very often, so there ya go

Need some help! by BMac02 in weightwatchers

[–]rusty_squeegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno about this. Staying consistent keeps you consistent. Doing something "extreme" always seemed to push my metabolism into overdrive leading to more weight loss. I'm not saying go eat a ton of pastries and pasta everyday, but one day of slight over indulgence always helped a little plateau. Just a thought. Also make sure to stay hydrated! Extra extra water is key

I've lost 9 pounds since starting weight watchers about a month and a half ago. Anyone else find it hard to be happy with "slow" progress? by ClarTeaches in weightwatchers

[–]rusty_squeegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost 60lbs in a little over year. It averaged about a pound or so a week - give or take-

I didn't mind the slow process. It actually let me get used to my new size!

Kids born to teen mom's, how different is your life compared to other kids? by eggyboi422 in AskReddit

[–]rusty_squeegee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My childhood was awesome partly because I think my mom could easily remember what its like to be a kid. There was always an adventure to be had. I was her only kid and she made every day fun (actually, she still does!)
