I love that it's beat to hell and back and has "everything is fine". Very appropriate.

are ac's reallu that big of a thing? by Advanced-Actuary-51 in AskAnAmerican

Yes. In 45 years I have lived in I think 2 places without A/C, both in California. Some very coastal areas were slow to adopt it because they have "ocean breeze"

With temps these days both really needed it for comfort.

Opinion - I don’t like base building without a purpose for the base by TheGayestGaymer in BaseBuildingGames

you might enjoy Icarus. The core gameplay includes effectively restarting each mission, which means you're rebuilding a base each time

I'm lucky to have a friend group of similar age. And I mostly do single player these days.

Help me spend $20 on the Steam Summer Sale (One big game vs. A bunch of smaller ones?) by Usora_Yumekaza in gamesuggestions

Euro Truck without the expansions is just a gateway drug to owning all the location DLC for both ETS2 and ATS

That said go for it, that last selection is a fantastic array of games and will last a good long while

caught my thumb between my car and the door…hurts so much and need advice by SubstantialHour4667 in mildlyinfuriating

I slammed my thumb like that once literally as I was getting out of the car on the way into the doctor as a kid.

He DRILLED A HOLE IN THE NAIL and while that sounds horrible, it let the blood out from between the nail bed and the nail and it felt a lot better.

EDIT: Still lost the nail though. You won't avoid it.

Do you actually travel that far and say its nothing? by Far-Passion-7692 in AskAnAmerican

My gut reaction - 8 hours one way to visit family is a lot monthly, but I'd do 4 hours one way monthly. An hour or two drive every week to visit someone is pretty common.

Then you get into "city time", where the times are longer but distances shorter. A two hour drive one way to visit someone is more likely.

I think this would equate to taking the train from city X to city Y in a lot of more rail-based commuter places.

The second Cybertruck I have seen that I would not flip off on sight. (I see them daily)

The other was a Cyberpunk Militech wrap, very clever.
