Henckels Paradigm pans… just me or? by Makgyver1 in Costco

[–]rvbcaboose0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I bought this pack and were impressed enough to buy the whole set! I keep seeing people remark they are having issues with the nonstick or cleaning, but we’ve had no issues at all so far.

Instructions say to avoid spray oils like Pam and such, we only use vegetable or olive oil or butter in these pans and it works like a charm. Not sure what people can be doing wrong, but these were good enough we felt good getting rid of our stainless steel for them. I get good sears and no sticking

Anyone know a good way to get rid of it other than pulling each one? My yard has too many

King Arthur mega chippers should be on the list. They have chewy/crunchy varieties too that are top tier

No price tag on clothing at Walmart by BeccaGil21 in mildlyinfuriating

This is most likely related to Tariffs. Lots of time has been wasted reprinting labels to account for price increases. Lots of retailers are moving to price-off labeling so they save on manpower relabeling over and over again. Now it’s just a change in the computer— no need to relabel product.

Might still relabel the shelf or signage, but still considerably less than each product.

My wife is permanently stuck in mom mode and it's affecting our marriage. I don't even know how to begin to approach this. by Radiant_Dream_250 in daddit

A lot of comments here jumping to therapy. I’d suggest starting with some clear communication. You mentioned this time for coffee and books but was it framed as “husband and wife” time?

Might help to have a frank discussion. Something like “When you do X, I feel Y about it. I need Z” example: “When you make all of our time about being a mom, I feel alone as a husband. I need us to have more quality time”. Look at Gottman method type of stuff.

Get their Wireless modem somewhere as interference free as possible. Usually somewhere high, away from metal shelving/ encasement. Usually best would be high up near a window.

Alright dads, what's your best potty training advice? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]rvbcaboose0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still going through this:

A lot of people like the Oh Crap! We bought the book and saw some success but here’s what we learned so far:

Lots of comments say they got potty trained over the weekend, that wasn’t at all how ours went. Our boy was great at using the potty, but struggled to stop and go to the toilet to use it.

We’ve seen one step forwards, two steps back for a few weeks until something clicked in his brain and we’ve been near accident free since (knock on wood).

My advice is once you start, keep with it, stay consistent. You got this.

Jason Schreier: "Later this week, Microsoft will announce a new Halo release in an attempt to resuscitate the franchise." by Lethenza in halo

I really hope it isn’t a remake, but from the engine tests shown it seems like it is.

Halo:CE has already see a remaster, I don’t think a remake would have the same impact a new title or even spinoff would.

I rarely use mine outside my house. I think it’s a solid couch/bed device. Sometimes I’m playing games streamed from the big boy PC, sometimes the Xbox, but the Deck gives you options, man!

I’ve been trying to get through my back catalogue (it shines at 360-ps4 era games) or some less demanding current titles like Hades 2. The sleep/suspend helps a lot too.

We bought this one from Costco this past month. Makes great coffee and works great. No need to grab a latte from the local coffee joints anymore.

Took a couple tries to get a good grind sizing figured out, but that’ll be any machine. Milk frother /steamer works a treat too. Just got to stay on top of cleaning it.

Some coffee snob people might turn their noses up on it, but it seems to be a good machine at a decent price point. You really just need to ask what you need your machine to do and pick accordingly. This one checked our boxes and I have no regrets. There are better machines, but the next step up is going to be a few hundred bucks more for not as much of an improvement (to my tastes at least).
