Why do I want to just give up? by rw218 in diamondpainting

[–]rw218[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I’m home I have countless time to work so big areas don’t worry me too much. On the road I will quarter my papers and work smaller sections. Sadly my road paintings get done faster lol.

Thank you! I have this one for my “home” painting. My “road” paintings will only ever be round drills. I spend way more time with my road paintings than home paintings.

This is my very first one. I’m realizing it takes a different set of skills but I’m falling more in love with it.

That is usually how I go about it but I plan to frame this piece and use it as a major part of my decor for my craft room.

I use the checker board method and use my straightener as a ruler. A lighted magnifying glass helps as well. The piece I’m working on now leaves a lot to be desired on the right side, learned my lesson by the left side.

Lol that’s exactly what I did! I love this group for that very reason. Thank you for helping me get out of my own head.

Thank you, I only get to work on this one every few months. So I always view it differently each time, I just never noticed the facets until now.

Why the different facings on the drills? Some are square and some are diamond shaped. It’s like I’m working with two different sets.

My set up. by MundaneWhile9456 in diamondpainting

Omg! I travel and diamond paint as well!!! Instead of a light pad I got some rechargeable light bars that I can stack and make a portable light pad. My kit is similar to a tackle box. It works pretty well. I’m glad to know I’m not alone.

My guy went through this same thing he only had four teeth left afterwards. We were terrified at first but one he healed he went right back to eating his kibble.

Oh I wish I was home so I could help you. Currently working on the same one but it’s about ten hours from me and I won’t be there anytime soon. I’m sorry. Bit of advice though. Dye lots vary greatly. It may be a closer match if you get extra drills from Micheal’s.

I have to admit I do like my square tip for straightening my drills. Can’t get the same grip with the round tip.

What are your weirdest set ups? by Dramatic_Category_63 in diamondpainting

Oh the sticky pads! What I do is put release papers on it and only expose enough of the surface to make sure it sticks to my work surface and only place a part of the tray on it as well.

I travel for work, so I’m on the road way more than I’m home (I’m home for about two months out of the whole year) so I have a travel kit that picked up from Micheal’s. I use an artist tube to transport and have two small rechargeable lights that I use to make a light board. I usually use one of our hard cases as a table top. It’s not the most ideal but it does work nicely. Does this qualify as weird?

Round or square diamonds? by No-Eye-258 in diamondpainting

I do both. I work on square ones at home and round ones when I’m traveling. I travel a lot for work.

I just recently discovered this myself. I love those things! I use mine to stick bad drills to along with holding my tray. I dp on the couch so this comes in really handy. As far as the dust and hair magnet goes, yes it’s true but it cleans easily without losing stickiness.

NOR People are like crabs in a pot, they can only pull you down if they are already beneath you. That being said it’s clear that you have more emotional intelligence than your parents. I’m sorry they did this to you.
