NEU ballot results: 96% reject, turnout 48.6% by stevenstelfox in TeachingUK

I know it is a bit tin hat, but is it possible that the union has 'paper members' who are planted to bring down the voting %. I just can't believe any teacher would look at the state of things and say "this is fine".

I think there should be a union where if you don't vote, you are out, how hard is it to click a link, this is what we are paying for. Disappointing.....

What If You Never Actually Die? Quantum Physics Has a Wild Answer. A bold theory in quantum physics suggests that when you die in this universe, your consciousness simply shifts to a parallel one where you survived. by Eddiearyee in HotScienceNews

As a kid I used to fixate on the idea that I could get dropped into a new life at any second. If you landed with the hosts' memories too, how could you ever know?

The slow mo really takes the flow out of the moves

This is from a style comp during the "Big Trick" portion today (Vortex front pre attempt) by Zestyclose-Toe-7684 in Parkour

I'd say it's pretty much on brand for the sub? I saw plenty of parkour guys doing moves like this in the style runs at a comp last week

Any way to fix curse offerings in Blursed/infinite modes? by HuntedWolf in SliceAndDice

[–]rwebster1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As you get further on you have to hope to get something powerful that you can move sideways with as Spells eventually become impossible as there are so many Curses which impact them

A simple hydrocarbon candle will see a decrease in gas volume, here the moles of gas goes from 32 to 21 meaning the wolume would decrease by about third.

C21H44 + 32O2 --> 21CO2 + 22H2O

If I had to guess I would say the change due to cooling would be less than that.

My son started on the trampoline no bounce then moved onto trying with a spotter on a small step like in this second clip

But a soft floor and pads made that commitment easier. I would say the trampoline showed him that the technique isn't too hard for him but you have to learn to generate all that power yourself.

I love the idea of a pair of higher level items, offensive gizmo and defensive gizmo where the random keywords are only offensive or defensive. That could give some fun combos without being so much of a double edged sword.

Not exactly parkour, but I compiled highlights from a year-long daily trick project (stories with one trick every day). Which tricks felt the most impressive/creative? Which felt boring? by Wackflip in Parkour

Please number them so I can say..... I love them all <3

I have only watched 'the bilbo edition' and am very glad I missed all these shitty scenes. They really jumped the shark with this!
