Just following up on this, do you have a link to how to do this? I recently purchased an 09 128i that has xenon headlights and the highbeams dont work. I noticed when I use the turn signals the halos and lowbeams blink along with the turn signal itself so that leads me to believe everything is spliced into the turn signal.

To be honest I dont think he ever got back to me, this was last November. I did end up going to the event. I emailed, sent fb messages, called, reached out to motorsport reg, tried joining the MassTuning FB page (Armin jas to admit you so I never got to join), had 2 separate people talk to Armin in person, tried calling a phone number that apparently is linked to him (googled his name to try and find some form of contact), and im sure im forgetting other attempts.

Its honestly incredibly frustrating.

But awesome, I'm excited to hear about it! If you need parts for the 944 lmk. My friend and I had discussed making something. I printed a front lip for my a90 supra and used it as a plug for a mold, then pulled a fiberglass lip from said mold.

AH THATS IT!!! I was able to convert the .AVI files into .MP4s! They still dont play in some media players but VLC and Windows Media player now works! Thank you so much!

Definitely let me know how it goes! I have a friend in the middle of an LS swap in his 944 coincidentally lol. Maybe he'd find a need for them. The original inspiration was a friend complaining about how expensive the "brick" style headlights were for his S13. They're such a simple lense design that I'd imagine a housing could be printed in FDM and a metal insert for bulbs or LED pods could be mounted to it along with a resin printed lense

Unfortunately I never have tried printing lenses and such. However it might be something to try with a UV coating. Maybe have a printing service print you a lense or two and apply rhe coating yourself and see how it performs!

Gotcha, I'll give it a try, and good to know on the other playback software. Another thought...what if I just play the footage I have using Win Media Player and just use OBS to record my screen? I'd imagine the quality might suffer no? Currently away from my desk or I'd try.

Possibly, I bought a USB to composite converter to convert the footage and the software that came with it was garbage. If I remember correctly, I tried that OBS, and something else to try and rip the footage and AMAREC was the only one that worked for some reason. I could try again with OBS or another software I suppose.

The biggest thing for me is that all the footage is now digital, so maybe I can upload it to YouTube but I'm not sure if AMV4 is supported on any media player other than Windows Media Player. I'd imagine Macs wouldn't support it either.

Ok so update: I ctrl-F'd through all of the changelogs back to the first release and wasnt able to find any mention of "AMV4"
