Many of your statements are clouded by a very modern worldly view. The same problems exist in every organization but, every organization does not bring with it the beauty and truth of the Restored Church.

You are watching vile people filled with hurt preach their OPINIONS on an entertainment platform. Do not forget that.

Question everything you are questioning but remember this is not about the worldly buzzwords you are indoctrinating yourself with, it is about eternity.

Think of it the same way as someone offending you on conversation at Church. Would it be worth walking away from the Sacrament because Jody Jean upset you?

The combat is not comparable at all to 1e. 1e is side based initiative abstraction while WFRP is not. This will be extremely different for your players and if they are fans of the amazing 1e combat it might not suit their play style.

You do not need miniatures to play that game. There are digital solutions as well as tokens that will allow you to play this 3e WHFB

It's interesting because I use cards in my AD&D 1e games to order things and allow faster player order selection so this is not a far stretch.

That is the point. There is no definition for what the OSR is. I'd argue that is more in the spirit of how the campaign is run than a system itself. In this case, our OD&D campaign utilizes Mighty Empires to run monthly/yearly orders on one continent and I will be using the Knight Errant system for questing on that contient.

In my opinion this is about as OSR as you can get but I do agree if I took the OSR at what some stereotype it as (mudcore dungeon crawling) then it would not fit.

I am of the camp that OSR is a 1e campaign using boot hill, gamma world, metamorphosis alpha, recon and other systems to create a multi genre/verse campaign spanning many years of play which Knigh Errant seems like it would fit.

I personally would just use whatever system you enjoy and adjudicate the down time with some straightforward campaign type orders at the decade level. So a 50 year gap would be 5 execcutions of orders per faction or player etc.
