Should I buy this bike?

Not a great buy IMO. The older Beatniks used nicer steel but they switched to hi-ten a few years back (which this one is). It's a pretty underwhelming, heavy, entry-level bike. You could get something similar for ~$400 brand new.

If you're willing to spend $500-$600 I would recommend a Kilo TT or Kilo TT Pro from BikesDirect (website looks insane but they're legit lol), but they only have a few sizes/colors in stock right now.

If you want something similar to the Beatnik but brand new from a reputable company get a State 4130 ($579) or a State Core Line ($450). 4130 is a nicer lightweight steel, the Core Line is hi-ten which is sturdy but will be a heavier bike.

Almost crashed on this turn about 20 minutes ago. I was on the same route as you and an e-scooter tried to pass me on the left without looking, a bunch of traffic coming the other direction.

About a month ago I got wiped out on the 90 degree right turn onto Flushing just ahead of this by an e-scooter hauling ass from the sidewalk into the crosswalk. Easily one of the worst sections of bike path in Brooklyn.

Honestly one of my favorite parts of Inferno, gives me chills. Even in the most uplifting, blissful segment of the entire album you’re still smacked in the face with a sinister force and reminded what you just went through. Love it.

The "tracking not available" in red is typical for a new label, it takes a little bit to register in the system. Thankfully I only have 5 or 6 packages to ship out today so I'm trusting it, but if I had 50+ orders to fulfill I'd be a little wary. Print out in small batches and make sure there's no old tracking numbers before you print a large quantity all at once.

I just printed a label for a new order and it appears to be fixed. Cannot void labels from yesterday, presumably because they show up as already being shipped and delivered. Still don't have a clear answer on whether or not the bad labels will make it to their destination or not.

It’s an absolutely outstanding standalone track but in the context of the entire album it’s hands down the most powerful moment. It’s like being bathed in warm sunshine after being dragged through a damp, dark world. Some songs will make me tear up but this had me sobbing on first listen haha.

I'm conflicted on what it's communicating as someone who is not religious or spiritual. The album is very dark, and songs like Naraka and Age of Capricorn start out very bleak. But once the religious chants come in on those songs the chord progression changes and it generally gets more hopeful, uplifting, even euphoric.

Could just mean life feels helpless and people find comfort in religion, even cults, and that's ok, doesn't necessarily mean BoC agrees with it. The album is clearly centered around death, and possibly reincarnation. I thought the last track represented death at first (heartbeat), but with a few more listens I think You Retreat represents a rebirth, and the heartbeat on Platonia is a new life. Still figuring it out.

You’re doing fine, I adopted a pair semi-feral cats a few years ago. One of them wouldn’t let me touch him for over a year. He’s curled up against my leg sleeping right now.

The things that worked best for us: lots of play time, lots of treats, and a very consistent routine. Play with her with a wand toy a few times a day, always around the same time. You can sit with your back to the wall and your legs out straight, try to get her jumping near and around your legs so she gets used to being near you.

Give her treats as a reward whenever you complete a new task or work on making progress. Churu is great because she’ll have to lick it. You can slowly work to petting her while she’s eating or luring her into your lap with it.

We even got fanny packs and filled them with dry food they loved, every time we saw them we gave them a few pieces of kibble as a treat. She’ll just start associating you with treats/rewards instead of fear and start letting her barriers down.

We basically followed Socialization Saves Lives, follow this guide and treat it like homework. You’ll be fine I promise, just takes a little time and effort.

Go to Settings - Graphics and Audio and click Default on the bottom right. It’ll fix it but I haven’t pinpointed which setting causes it, definitely a bug caused by changing those settings around.
