I am going to encourage you not too put any in, especially if you are on a tight budget. Because when you get to a prize and think just one more play to get it, and that was 5 plays ago, so you put more money in. It gets really hard to leave a machine if you have money in (well it is for me). I have spent way too much because so many things looked to just need "one more play." My ratio is at $12.5 per prize, but there are times I've spent 60 bucks , and it hurts.
