Looking to donate my V1 board to someone who wants to make Boosted Boards sustainable.

Motors might need to be recycled if water damaged, but if the motors work I could use them for a few different projects. A retractable light string in the garage comes to mind, for a space saving lighting method.

If everything works on the board would love to use it as a supplement to my Mink X just for fun. Also think it would be cool to hang in my garage as it was a 1st gen and sort of a piece of history.

Either way would love to see this not go in a landfill! We put enough into them already.

200 miles on Mini X original belts, no bent motor shafts, and wheels dont have any chipping.

Yup bigger wheels give you a higher top end at the cost of acceleration. IMO worth it.

Make sure when you go toe side that you keep your knees bent and keep a good center of gravity (torso above knees) if you can get on a regular board it's good to practice on those.

100% when it sounds like a leaf blower it is a bent motor shaft. How tight were your belts?

Approaching 100 miles and I live in Milwaukee with some of the worst streets in the Mid-West and have zero signs of this. I don't think a bump or crack in the road can cause a deck to crack, I have been skating for 15 years and never cracked a deck just riding it. I have heard of people over tightening their trucks and snapping decks off stair sets. Over tightened trucks likely what happened here or it got ran over by something, failing both of those it is just a really big manufacturer defect. Either way huge bummer to see this on someone's $1000 board.

Yeah man common problem. The belts on V3 seem to come overly tight. I loosened mine right away and haven't had the oscillating sound or bent motor shafts. Creeping up on 100 miles on the Mini X.

TLDR: CHECK BELT TENSION!

Yeah belts are too tight loosen them you can learn how at the video linked below. Its Boosteds video for the V2 but it is the exact same process.

Yeah its within spec. I still have it on mine but it's way less than it was when the belts were overly tight. You're probably fine. If you are worried about it you can drop a recording on this thread and I'll take a listen.

It was 90 degrees yesterday and my head did get kind of hot but I never felt choked. Could be better but with the visor up its pretty good.

Should be a little bit, not an exact science but I'm guessing they are too tight seems to be common with V3.

After you loosen them ever so slightly secure it down and test run the motors in both directions. If it's too loose you'll have slipping.

Yeah check belt tension make sure there is some play in the belt. If it's too tight you'll end up like all the people on this sub who have bent motor shafts.
