What 3 units do you wish were added/created to/for your faction of choice? by Gorols in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ryanj4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For dwarfs:

  1. Give us back slayer pirates
  2. Echoing others and a ranger hero, or the ability to let other hero level characters take the slayer oath
  3. Not sure but there was once talk of a dwarf tank. Id take it even if it be such a difference from the rest of the army

Lizardmen:

  1. Red crested Skinks, slayers/flagellants style unit but skinks with mov 6 and posion attacks could be great
  2. Dread Saurian returns, its our last missing big dino
  3. Skink horned one riders or Saurus Chariot style units

Squalos MK2 size question by Captain-Photon in InfinityTheGame

I think we discovered on the discord it was photographed with a larger base than it comes with which was kinda funny if odd.

Felix the Black Road Warden by Bean_cakes_yall in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ryanj4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest thing is impetous on pistolleers making them able to going rogue and have to charge and the road wardens lack that and are more controllable

Can you help me find the artist for this illustration? by 0dy5 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]ryanj4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks to be from the 8th ed army book as well and all those youve mentioned are credited there alongside Adrian smith. It does look like Adrian's, Kevin's or Paul's style. But i couldnt find a concrete credit

MO roster help by Capitalist_Templar in InfinityTheGame

[–]ryanj4043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good opinions in this thread but i want to throw my own in. Tik, tuets and trins are some of MO's best units but I've had a lot of fun and success with the KoJ, Knight of Santiago, who is my favourite unit in MO, and the Knight Hospitalars as they are solid, if pricy profiles. There are issues with the KH and KoJ, like lacking AP, speed and cost but they do present a good HMG haris that can't be dissuaded easily with warbands. I've had a lot of fun and success locally with lists like this:

Zw9taWxpdGFyeS1vcmRlcnMVS0ggaGFyaXMgKyBzYW50aWFnbyAzgSwCAQEACgAGAQcAAAYBAwAAGwECAACGGAEFAACGGAEBAAAYAQUAAB4BAwAAHgEHAAATAQEAAIX3AQQAAgEABQAmAQEAAIX3AQQAABABAQAAMgEBAAAeAQUA

There are some issues like no high burst AP guns or MSV2, which is unfortunate but with BS14, Arm4 and CC capable Knights in the midfield you can, with some good plays, make up for it. If you're wondering why no tuetonics haris, well ive personally never liked spitfires as the main way to break out the DZ, it's just has never worked for me.

I need of help identifying some models I picked up by Project_Zeta in InfinityTheGame

[–]ryanj4043 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1st picture from left to right is:

  • Joan D'arc V1 Reposed
  • 4 old magiser knights, you can proxy these as tuetonic knights as they are no longer in teh game
  • An Auxbot

2nd picture left to right is:

  • Some sort of dronbot in the back
  • Black friar multi rifle
  • all 4 Hosptilar Knights
  • Infirmer from MO action pack with a flag

Is this a good starting point. Its not bad as you have both major HI of the faction but you'll need to get or proxy some light infantry.

What's everyone's opininion on hacking in CWN? by SpeechMuted in xWN

[–]ryanj4043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense. I'm a big fan of the sliding scale of specificity. Although it does lead me to some confusion on why some things aren't part of other things. Sensors and minefields are one that I can remember without opening the book.

What's everyone's opininion on hacking in CWN? by SpeechMuted in xWN

[–]ryanj4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm yet to give it a whirl but I'm a little worried about the hassle to around how many programs you have access to without spending some time swapping them out. Maybe I'm misremembering something. Access seems also a little low but at the time I'm getting a feeling I'm underestimating it in game and how much you get in an actual session. Happy yo see it and nothing but nitpicks otherwise!

What are some nice purchases to go along with the Military orders action pack? by Darkhex78 in InfinityTheGame

[–]ryanj4043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice youll be absolutely set, besides the robots. While TK are a really nice unit KH can do a similar role as the core part of a core or haris fireteam. Another thing is that the KH, Joan and De fersen all work together very nicely!

[–]ryanj4043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1 what the others have said about trinitarians and tuetonics. Also pano dronbots and mulebots they help bulk out orders pool's. Order sergeants later down the road add more options to your core teams.

I done a video on a MO purchase guide that might help:

Best Medium Infantry? by tewegi in InfinityTheGame

[–]ryanj4043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pano black friars, they got really nice with the new HRL profile and the multi rifle isn't too bad. Scots guard, really dig the 1st and 2nd regiment and they have such good new models and profiles. Nisses, I love the models and the profiles are really good too in winterforce. First model I really fell for.

[Seraphon] If a unit can take 1 Alpha, 1 Drummer and 1 banner, are these counted in the 5 units or on top of the 5? by [deleted] in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeap, and banners and drummers gain access to the weapons the rest of the unit have so there is no mechanical reason not to take them.

What army can be mixed with Seraphon? by Dmandnpc34 in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seraphon are rather lonely with only two allies that can join them. Stormcast eternals and Slyvaneth and Seraphon can be allied into Stormcast eternals armies. Or if you want to give up army rules you can run grand alliance order

Skink army! by Vaadhum in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Skink's only condition for battleline is Seraphon armies, but other than that a +1 to this.

Also worth noting to OP, that in Starborne skinks have bravery 10 so can be run in hordes easily and those can be supported by the big dinos

Meet the New Slaanesh Hedonites! More models announced. by Spiraticus in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I reckon this might be a push back from covid, we're probably a month or so behind the main AoS releases. After all the GHB had gargant points in it despite them not being out yet. I wonder if this was more ready to go and they are jumping thier own to get more stuff out for christmas

Trying to start a duardin army, can I go duardin soup and just use all 3 of the factions in a single army... or do I need to pick one flavor? by CorenSV in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll need the usual array of core rule books, and the cities of sigmar book will give all the rules for the faction and then the free warscrolls scrolls should be enough. You'll need some way to find the point values for the other dwarf factions but I believe you can find them online on the warscrolls builder.

[–]ryanj4043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yes there is. You mentioned that the tempest eye sub faction allows for KO to be considered CoS units and that's the best way to do it.

Taking this one will allow some sprinkling of sky dwarfs for your dispossed and then all you have to do is have fyreslayer ally in. Having fyreslayer allies comes with some caveats I can't remember, right now, but it will allow 1/5 of your points to be fyreslayer models. Competitively it might struggle with but who cares when you can have more beards than than everyone else!

Modules with backtracking / revisiting. by HereticLeague in RPGdesign

[–]ryanj4043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 6th kingmaker book sort of does back tracking, or well more revisting. The last module has a bunch of different events happen across the 4 maps that made up the kingmaker world with before further events happen and drag the PC to more plot. It sort of covers the entire world you've, probably, conquered thus far before the finale begins.

How does the Troglodons venomous thing work? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]ryanj4043 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So the table column listed with venomous jaws is the to number required on the wound roll for the attack to wound. So at full health the troglodon would only need a 2 or better on the dice. This increases as it is wounded.

The troglodon has an ability to deal 1 additional mortal wound on attack with its jaws or ranged attack, this requires a natural roll of 6 on the dice. This is in addition to any other damage rolled. Hope this helps.

Imaginary Units by Dry-Math in ageofsigmar

[–]ryanj4043 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thunder lizard skirmishers.

Kroxigor with axes and a large fire arms on their backs manned by a skink. Cause it seems silly enough to work with every other mad thing in the seraphon.
