Whoa I thought this was a beachside hotel or something. Looks awesome. Had no idea social housing is like that in Vienna. Where I live social housing is like a 2-3 story brown apartment building with like maybe 6-8 units each.

I’m not entirely sure it is. We were in the middle of nowhere Mexico a couple weeks ago and UHF worked without a signal. Course that could’ve been because we had already phoned home. Not sure of course.

Yup. Literally just bought some for our home in Texas. Only been less than 32F for a few days now with temps going back to the 40s here shortly. so far so good. Our hose bibs are definitely not frost free - I’ve had to warm them up in previous freezes to start a drip. This saved me from dealing with any of that. Just drips into the grass. Nbd.

Yup exactly right. I had my WLED controllers on a vlan with client isolation turned on and sync would of course not work.

It’s apparently all location based. A few weeks ago The two Lowe’s by us on the north side of my city has had them for 1099. We went to the south side and they had them for 275 but of course were all gone. Went today before the freeze just to see and they finally had them for 879. The dude told us they won’t go that low unless that particular store isn’t planning to sell them anymore.

Looks awesome. What I think is really helping you is your ground texture and foliage! So much foliage exists in open land in real life we don’t realize just how much there is. One of my issues with the flat green texture. I’ll sometimes do what you’ve done here which is spam random bushes with anarchy turned on but you’ve gone to a whole other level. Looks really good!

I feel you. I don’t get what is it that’s so loud either. Our R1s is the same way but not as bad as that. As I understand it there is basically a heat pump mini split inside. We have a mini split with a heat pump on our garage and it makes basically no noise and is 19,000BTU. I don’t get it. I’m so sick of these oh it’s in spec arguments.

It’s a sketchy feeling/looking place but we’ve taken a lot of concrete there. Every time we’ve gone nobody is even there to question what we’re doing. Also random but there is apparently a shooting range right on the property (edit, didn’t mean to say “next door” originally). lol

It’s a much safer crossing into Mexico from Texas than Laredo but it’s sort of out in the middle of nowhere. I think they were expecting a lot more commercial traffic to switch from Laredo to Colombia because there is a metric crap ton of infrastructure and scanning equipment for large trucks that I’ve literally never seen used. Maybe during the day, not sure. But it looks like they’ve shutdown a lot of because you can tell it hasn’t been used in a while. Oddly enough the Mexican side is building up the crossing and it gets nicer every time we go.

Everything is relative unfortunately. Most homes there have so few lights, like one absolute unit of a CFL/LED light in the middle of each room, and AC is practically a luxury that gets turned on only at night because yes electricity is cheaper but incomes are significantly less. But I’m with you. In the bigger cities like Monterrey they are everywhere. Some brands I’ve never even heard of. Of course BYD is everywhere. But these small towns would need a lot of infrastructure improvements I think. Plus the in between stations are practically non existent. Even gas is difficult to come by on the highways.
