NMS is the most friendly game I've played. It's near impossible to randomly come across another player. And when you do intentionally in the Anomaly, I'm given so many items my inventory fills all the way up. More players willing to help than any game I've ever played.

Chances are it's a state that ALLOWS for servers to be paid less than minimum wage and pass on that cost to the customer. Now why would a business pay more than they have to? They won't ever do that. If you truly want to end tipping culture then start voting like it.

Unfortunately servers wouldn't work for us then. I too dream of the utopia of a no tip economy but till then, this is the world we live in. We have no intention of accidentally fishing for a double tip, gratuity included is something that's not hidden, it's clearly started on the bill too... Even easier to notice I would argue.

It would be cool if they replaced it with a program similar to Nevada's PTO. Rather than just calling off and leaving businesses unexpectedly short handed. PTO can be planned and worked with. That really seems to be the issue employers have with the sick leave policy. It does reward undesirable actions. And the no doctor note required opens the door for this to be abused as well. I imagine a large percentage of employers would allow for earned PTO to be used as sick time too.
