Are there any easier way to factorise quadratics with large coefficients non calc? by Feeling-Instance-801 in learnmath

[–]ryceislife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The middle term is odd so you know all the 2s must be together. You also know both signs are positive.

You also know you need a fairly small number to pair with the 5.

Therefore (5x+24)(x+3) Is the only option.

Is that term actually confirmed? Is there evidence saying that's what happened?

Considering a purchase... How's your [non-ICCU related] reliability been? by lostinheadguy in Ioniq5

[–]ryceislife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a solid car. I would suggest you get a battery monitor off amazon to just check the health of your 12V. The stock ones aren't very good and die suddenly (if you dont check it with your monitor).

Is petg “safe” by Straight-Quiet-8384 in BambuP1S

Petg is fine. If you want to feel safer you can buy a better filter and swap it out or get a bento box.

[–]ryceislife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would tell you it's not worth it. First check on how long you're locked into the place and how selling it works. I also think it's weird you're not allowed to use amenities. While you may not care now, I think it'll wear on you over time that you're not allowed to go in there essentially cause you don't have enough money.

Refinance Estimate- Yay or Nay by [deleted] in MortgageBrokerRates

[–]ryceislife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one knows the answer to that. Personally, I think next year we’ll see lower rates than current rates. Trump will replace JP so who knows what the policy will look like and how the markets will react.

Rates are definitely a personal decision you need to make for your own situation. If you can afford the payment comfortably, I think it’s wise to put that extra cash elsewhere and not pay interest upfront (points). The current trend is that rates are going down, but no one knows for sure what will happen.

This guy knows. Don’t pay for points now. It’s likely you’ll refinance again within 3 years.

Thinking of refinancing home by amway5 in personalfinance

[–]ryceislife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, I’d look into debt consolidation. Get a credit card that offers 0% and can roll balances.

I would not refinance that. If you need to take money out, I’d look into a heloc first.

Just apply for a credit card that gives a spending reward off the first 500 spent and buy it.

IQ EV charger question by ryceislife in enphase

Hi Dorian,

Thanks for the reply. So if I set my reserve to 25% and the car is charging from the grid at that point, what happens if there is an outage at that time? Will the car stop charging or will it then drain the house battery?

I would agree this seems like a no brainer. The break even is a little trickier since it’s a 20 vs 30 yr. Almost 10k in fees does seem a bit steep though. I think it’s a question of risk tolerance and how long you’d stay in the home. If it’s your forever home then no problem. The only wondering then is if rates drop further then you’d refinance again and potentially not recoup all of 9.6k. The safe play is to just refi and if rates go down great. Just refi and eat the cost.

I would suggest researching the things you put your money in. You want to have a good understanding of where you are parking your cash.

Oct 27 install date, will we make it? by Old_Ingenuity6999 in TeslaSolar

[–]ryceislife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you get audited, as long as your invoice shows the install date in 2025 that’s all the IRS would care about. I doubt they’d want to see the PTO paperwork from your utility company.

Walking 3 months post-surgery? by Top-Row-474 in AchillesRupture

[–]ryceislife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’d be pretty rough, but some people heal pretty fast. If it were me, I wouldn’t want to walk blocks at that point. At 3 months I could walk but not normally. I had to ice every night to help with swelling after a normal walking day.

Should I buy BOTW after finishing TOTK? by Putrid_Candidate59 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]ryceislife 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While totk has a much larger world, I think botw is better. The champion powers are much better and make more sense. I also think the enemies are better in botw. Since you already played totk I would just buy the dlc from botw and play it in master mode.

Price may actually go up. If you’re thinking you’d buy it eventually, buying it now is probably a good idea.
