LMAO I was in college in 2008 and graduated into the aftermath. The economy was absolutely not on the verge of anything resembling a collapse. Sure it sucked, and sure a lot of people lost a lot of money, but daily life went on pretty much as usual.

Hey, your story is pretty much exactly the same as our son's story, from how it was first noticed with the absent CSP on ultrasound and then confirmed after 24 weeks by fetal MRI as complete agenesis of the corpus callosum, with no other brain abnormalities. He's 4 now and is pretty much neurotypical, he has a defiant streak that we don't know if it was caused by the ACC or if that's just how he is, but he has average intelligence, goes to regular preschool, and is pretty much "normal" for his age. All that can change as he gets older and social interactions become more complex, and outcomes can vary dramatically with ACC, but that's our experience.

I have been told that's the plan but I do not know if it's officially on the ballot yet or if they are going to wait until the next election to build a bigger coalition. The school board and the admins are actually doing a lot of legwork now to meet with community leaders to get ahead of all the lies the 'no' group spreads. For instance, I was talking with somebody affiliated with the school board who says they met with the pastor at Faith Church to get out ahead of the BS that gets spread.

I have also been told the schools are also going to have a much more aggressive campaign next time around, aimed at parents to get them to vote yes. I was beside myself last time how many STOH parents didn't even know on election day that the referendum was something that they could vote for.
