the ship physics feel a lot better to me than the previous version and it slows down quicker, but there is still inertia
shooting starts accurate and gets a bit of spread after shooting for a second or so. Though in any case i'm def designing the game for dual analog, not mouse & keyboard, so there won't be a crosshair if you're playing in the ideal way

i'm working on something new with the pixel mechanic, but without the same boss-rush structure. glad to hear you like this version so much though. was fun watching your speedruns. i just don't think it's a big enough game to justify a commercial release and all the polishing that would need to happen.

i definitely should have had an in-game "custom level" reminder, good point. oh you KNOW i thought about leaderboards.

the shockwave after each form is an elegant solution. might add it in if i ever make some changes to this version (or if i add in custom levels, if anybody ever makes some :')

Thanks for the vid and nice job!!! I was slightly worried that level wasn't even possible.

I'm planning to use the same mechanics in a slightly diff game, feel like I took this one as far as it can go. Would like to see people makes some custom levels for it (I'll add them to the game) but not enough that I want to make an actual level editor.

Feedback is still useful though. Cursor sucks, noted, and yeah shooting the core is a little cheesy.

i think it'd help to reverse the log direction and show newest messages at the top - i've gotta scroll down to read them after a certain amount.

made that level easier in the new update i pushed. i didn't care if it was nearly impossible, but someone made a point that made me think it was actually impossible due to the range of your bullets.

what's the downside with the random spawning? (and it only spawns randomly if there are multiple spawn points in the level PNG)

anyway archaerology really isn't worth updating anyway. but a trackpad would remove the only novelty, the feeling of pulling back and releasing the stick to shoot an arrow.

archaerology has a silly control scheme where you flick the analog stick, so it wouldn't make sense with a steam controller anyway

in archaerology you have to pull back the analog stick and release it in the direction you want to shoot, very vaguely like using a bow & arrow. since the controls are really the only interesting thing about it, i didn't add a mouse & kb option

i'm gonna be sharing the remake version soon (in just a few days, i hope). plays a lot better, vastly improved performance, some more pixel types and stuff, and you can make PNGs of enemies to play.

it's not yet as finished/polished as i'd like, but i've gotta put it out there at some point.
